Yesterday South End restaurant Club Cafe announced that it would no longer serve Sam Adams due to the brewer's association with the parade. In an open letter on its facebook page Club Cafe stated that they were "disappointed that Sam Adams does not understand that the organizers of the St. Patrick's Day Parade continue to demonstrate that they do not respect LGBT Irish Americans by excluding LGBT members of this community from openly marching in the St.Patrick's Day Parade."
This morning Sam Adams released a statement that said, in part "We share these sentiments with Mayor Walsh, Congressman Lynch and others and therefore we will not participate in this years parade."

Just how many LGBT Irish Americans are there? Enough to destroy a company, apparently.

That queer owner of Sam Adams always struck me as a homo as did those in his commercials. The beer sucks, too.

Oh thank God this didn’t come from a company that makes GOOD beer.

I tried that when I went to West Virginia last year. Hands down best beer I have ever had. I am not a big drinker at all but when I got back to Texas I looked everywhere for it, and most people here had never heard of it. Come to find out, it isn’t even sold in Texas.

So it’s ok for the restaurant and Sam Adams to discriminate against groups they have a moral disagreement with? Why can they do this, and not Christians?

"They love to strut their perversion in any public parade. The reason for the parade is not important."
Once they are allowed to participate, it's all about them. They change the very nature of the parade into something contrary to its initial purpose. Before long it would just be another gay parade with fat old men letting their smelly dicks hang out.

Drink local. As local as possible.
Support your local brewpub, avoid crappy corporate beer of any kind.
I don’t eat ANYWHERE the owner is not on site running the place; same for breweries.

I don't drink beer for its flavor. I drink it to be buzzed. Frankly, I don't really care what it tastes like. That's not why I drink.

Never drank it to start with.
I believe the reason they whimpered down so quickly is that their market segment is metrosexual hipsters, so....
Good to see they have the testicular fortitude of a knat and get scared by queers and other protected minority groups.
Way to buckle and bow to the PC police Sam Adams!

Are gays TRYING to be the most hated people on the planet? They claim to be discriminated against, whine that straights don’t approve of them. Then they force themselves where they’re not wanted and destroy everyone else’s fun.
