Between the homophobic birthday invitation (fake), the lesbian waitress receipt (fake) and Matthew Shepard (fake)… there seem to be more fake gay hate crimes than real ones.

Floyd Elliott, of Independence, told police that two attackers cut him in the stomach, branded him with a hot knife, and attempted to carve the word “Fag” on his forehead. Later, Elliott admitted to police that the injuries were self-inflicted.
A Tennessee health food store owner who claimed that three men beat him and robbed his store in an anti-gay attack was arrested for filing a false police report
A rash of gay-bashing incidents at Tamalpais High School was the work of a student gay leader who claimed she was the victim of hate crimes,

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. But here’s one from 2012.
A young man who told police he was beaten up in a would-be hate crime appeared in court today admitting that he made the entire incident up.
The story of Joseph Baken travelled from Missoula, Montana across the country when a picture of his scratched and bruised face made waves on the internet.
Now, Baken has declared in court that he made the false police report after video surfaced of him attempting to do a back flip and failing.
So it was really an anti-somersault hate crime. And now here it comes again (graphic content at link), except this time it’s from the UK.
A drama student who became an internet sensation after claiming he was savagely beaten up for being gay has admitted he caused his injuries himself when he tripped on the pavement.
Richard Kennedy, 18, from Blackpool, told police he was set upon by a gang of homophobes when he left a gay nightclub in Preston, Lancashire,.
He posted photographs on Facebook of his battered and bleeding face, dislodged teeth, and gaping knee wound, with the caption ‘An example [of] why homophobia is wrong and it’s disgusting that it’s still around in 2014′.
“A sex life is private and has nothing to do with no one, needless to say it’s absolutely disgraceful to violently attack someone because of who they are. My confidence has gone, im utterly embarrassed to be seen in public, the only reason I am putting this picture up is because I want you to see me as an example. An example why homophobia is wrong and it’s disgusting that it’s still around in 2014.”
The post was shared by more than 182,000 well-wishers.
Even though Kennedy had given a fairly detailed description of what happened, writing, “got violently assaulted last night by a group of c___s, all because of my sexuality, covered in blood and literally stomped on my face causing my teeth to go into my gums,” the police decided to pretend that it was all a big misunderstanding.
“This is just another homophobic attack that happens every day, but it needs to stop, this is wrong, this is disgusting and using sexual preference as a motive to be violent and abusive is utter inhumane,” Kennedy wrote.
I agree. This rash of fake homophobic crimes is disgusting, abusive and needs to stop.
But just wait. Tomorrow there will be another one and that Drama major you went to college with will share it along with a rainbow flag and some nasty comment about Republicans.

as for bearing false witness, the punishment for false witness should be whatever would have happened to the accused if found guilty.
The perverts just don’t get it...no one cares if you are a pervert. The fact that people think they are perverts bothers them so they draw attention to their perversions by faking crimes against themselves. The perverts just can’t accept that they are screwed-up...perverts now and forever. They need treatment for their mental illness.
I think they forgot this one. Imagine being so full of hate and so committed to perversion, that you carve up your own body.

LINCOLN, NE (KPTM)- A Lincoln woman accused of faking a hate crime was sentenced Thursday. In spite of pleading no contest to the charge in December, Rogers and her attorney said she is innocent.
Rogers was sentenced to seven days in jail and two years probation for faking a hate crime attack in July 2012.
Rogers claimed three men attacked her in her home—carving racial slurs in her body and damaging her property.
Rogers was later arrested for staging the attack. Actions the judge described Thursday as incredible and outrageous lies. But Rogers and her attorney said she is telling the truth.
“She has maintained her innocence throughout. But as far as we’re concerned it’s a closed issue at this point,” said Rogers’ attorney, Brett McArthur.
She is also required to finish 250 hours of community service. Hours her attorney said won’t be hard to complete.
“Charlie’s looking forward to doing the community service and giving something back to the community through her volunteer work. Which is actually a part of her life before this case came up,” said McArthur.
If Rogers violates probation, she will face 90 days in jail beginning in January 2015.
McArthur said the process to get to the sentencing was difficult.
“She’s been struggling with a number of issues. And for somebody who’s never been through the criminal justice system before it is an incredibly stressful process,” said McArthur.
Rogers will begin her sentence April 29th. She is also required to have psychological exams as well as random drug tests.

We don’t behave consistent with the racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, etc. stereotypes the Left has concocted about us; thereby denying the “oppressed” opportunities to demonstrate how evil we are. Accordingly, they have to invent incidents so as to be able to make a statement.
What’s most galling is how the authorities deal with these hoaxers. There’s always some pronouncement about how we need to remain aware of the “reality” of oppression and extend “support” to the hoaxers instead of punishment.
Homo lies don't count. Because, you see, the fag could have been stomped. And somewhere at sometime, some fag was stomped.
So just because this particular story was a lie, one just like it happened somewhere. So it's ok.
Type 1's are mostly normal people (by far, this is the largest group). I don't agree with their politics, or their lifestyle choice, but they're not in-your-face about it, either. "I'm gay. So What?", approximately, is their attitude.
Type 2's are flaming, in-your-face-all-the-time, out-and-out drama queen attention whores. Think of all the worst possible stereotypes frequently discussed on FR, and you'd be close. These are the people who I'm convinced are gay for the attention, and because gay culture tolerates their nonsense. If they could do something else instead to get MORE attention and still be socially acceptable to their peers....they would.
Type 2's are the ones perpetrating these hoaxes, I'd bet. Though only for more attention.
Then why do these "people" keep rubbing it in everyone's face at every opportunity?
