--SNIP-- The committee’s top Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings, said in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner that Republicans have already botched any plans they might have for contempt actions against Lerner, who headed an IRS division that processes applications for tax-exempt status.
Cummings, citing opinions from two legal experts and “Supreme Court case law,” said Republicans cannot pursue contempt charges against Lerner because of how the committee’s chairman, Rep. Darrell Issa, abruptly adjourned a hearing with the former official last week.
The letter said Issa “failed to take the basic — but Constitutionally required — steps necessary to hold [Lerner] in contempt,” since the chairman ended the hearing without overruling Lerner’s Fifth Amendment assertion and without “clearly directing her to answer the committee’s questions.”

Don’t dismiss Arpaio’s criminal investigation. One thing/witness leads to another. The house of cards is falling down.
Today, they killed Corzine’s son. He was only 31.
The Marxist Mafia is panicking, making wild moves to silence the players who could cut a deal to avoid prison.
Top of my list would be Corzine, who stole $1.6 Billion from client accounts while enjoying protection from Hussein.
Well hopefully this is a shot in the dark on Cummings’s part but we’ll see.
I think Rep. Cummings should worry about preventing Hart Miller Island in his congressional district from “tipping over”, instead of these other matters which are obviously too complex for him to grasp.
I trust Arpaio's judgment and instincts and believe the pre-release hype I've heard and read so far.
All I know is, in this David and Goliath story, they had better have everything exactly right before taking this one and only shot.
If they don't, then wait until they do.

Elijah Cummings? Liberal elites care what he thinks... the Post quotes him as if he was some objective source.
I don’t care what he thinks. He hates everyone on our side... he’s a predictable yawn.
That’s what Issa gets for apologizing to Cummings. He gave Cummings the inch, and now Cummings is taking the mile. Showing weakness is not good.
