--BIG SNIP-- Putin has said that "two or three degrees" of climate change could be good for Russia, in that it would reduce heating costs and increase crop yields.
Of course Russia will face harsh consequences from global warming as well. Wildfires and drought have hit the country hard in recent years -- trends that will likely only worsen as the planet continues to heat up.
So for all you out there blasé about climate change, you may want to take a long hard look at your position -- because it doesnt take that much effort to see a post-global warming Russia emerging as an unchecked superpower.
America has done pretty well for itself under the current global climate. Doesnt it make sense to do everything we can to preserve that trove of good fortune?

Look up the UN/Sierra Club approved “Wildlands Project/Turtle Island.” It falls under the Agenda 21 documents. Massive depop is a big part of the plan. The official UN approved plan. They don’t hide it. It’s been publicly available for over a decade.
Around 1/4 mil (less actually) people for America is the target. As in ‘people. In less than 100 years. Now how do you suppose one meets that goal? Can’t abort fast enough without backlash....
It might benefit Canada, too.
Hmm. Sure beats another Ice Age.
Yep. I'd wager that it is part of the planet's temperature regulation system. When ice caps form and sea level drops, so does the hydrostatic pressure where the Methane hydrates are, they boil off, and help trap solar energy, reversing the process (warming things back up).

The earth has cooled .36°F since 1997.
Where’s this “warming” people keep talking about?
Start bicycling to work and Vlad Putin will never thaw out?
Let’s ignore all of the evidence to the contrary and assume for a nanosecond (for those leftists who went to public schools, that’s not very long) that global warming is occurring. Now, under their current definition of global warming, anything the religious zealots consider abnormal is caused by global warming, even if the abnormality is not all that abnormal (for instance, warmer than normal temperatures in a certain area or region, even though warmer temperatures have been recorded in the past, or more snow than normal in a certain area or region, even if more snow has been recored in the past, or fewer hurricanes than normal, even though fewer hurricanes have been recorded in the past, or more or stronger earthquakes than normal. even though more or stronger earthquakes have been recorded in the past).
So, the question is: If, according to the global warming religious zealots, anything can be attributed to global warming, how do you determine whether or not your efforts to curb the warming are effective???
Gorbachev is/was part of some “Mother Earth”/”Pangea” organization; it’s nothing more than a repackaging of the Communist tenant against private land ownership.
You can get a variety of numbers by choosing different indexes here:
http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/uah/from:1997/to:2013/plot/uah/from:1997/to:2013/trend Just choose a different data source, but you have to choose it twice (once for the points and once for the trend). You won't find much in the way of cooling I don't think. Just slight warming or flat.

What an idiot. I guess this is the Left’s attempt at reverse psychology. Get conservatives to get on the climate change bandwagon because of their fear of Russia.
