I remember watching battles specials on TV as a kid. There were shows like Battles At Sea and The Big Picture. Most kids now do not have any idea what the Battle for Midway was or much of anything about World War II, Korea, Vietnam or much else for that matter. We are losing much of our history and stories of our brave soldiers.

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Good evening, mountainlion....you are so right. Military history, the only reason we are here and safe, seems to be being pushed out of our history. America just happened. *sigh*
