House Republicans are considering a bill this week that delays the enforcement of ObamaCare's individual mandate penalties for five years, and uses the savings to prevent a cut in Medicare doctor payments for 10 years.
The two ideas are likely to be combined into a single bill: the Sustainable Growth Rate Repeal and Medicare Provider Payment Modernization Act, H.R. 4015. That bill repeals cuts to physician payments, and allows for small increases over 10 years.

Consideration of the House bill comes in the same week that The Wall Street Journal reported that the Obama administration has quietly decided to allow people not to buy insurance if newly available plans are too expensive. This exemption from the mandate would last for two years, until 2016.
It's gonna be hard for Democrats to oppose this since The One just delayed the mandate for two years.

Incrementalism.
Hard to say which direction it's incremental in.

Why are they doing this? Is the GOPe trying to save Obama’s A$$? Either repeal the thing or enforce it. NO DELAYS.

I’m hoping this is just political calculation to get the ‘Rats to have to vote against a delay in the face of Obama decreeing delays. It would be a bad miscalculation if the ‘Rats went for it and the burr that is driving the electorate to hate ObamaCare was removed before that hate can blossom into a fully energized repeal effort.

We will win on tossing the mess out and putting in a new plan for uninsured. There are hundreds of ways to fix this problem. Besides zerocare is only going to get worse and I don't want republicans to “fix” a uncurable cancer. We will end up on a vicious cycle like school ed, welfare....we will be blamed for not throwing enough money at it to make it better. Democrats need to own this 100%.

Can we REPEAL the REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP - just stand up and say this is the worst bill to EVER hit the USA and we Republicans need to just say NO to EVER IMPLEMENTING IT!
To: PJ-Comix
Stupid effing Republicans. You should look to be rolling this out in full, not delaying it.
Sometimes these people are just too stupid for words.....and this is their profession for God’s sake!

Dont delay it. Let it sink them! Obamacare is a Trojan virus meant to destroy free enterprise in this country.
I can't believe the GOP is trying to find a way to fix this program.
These fools are trying to put lipstick on a Trojan virus.

The fact that they’re not seeking THE COMPLETE REPEAL OF IDIOTCARE is the reason that the GOP is going to lose a bunch of seats to conservatives this fall.
I cannot wait.

What are we supposed to do???

Romney will run in 2016 as the GOP demands
that ObamaCARE be now named RomneyCARE.
G.O.P. means Give.Obama.Power.

“Why are they doing this? Is the GOPe trying to save Obamas A$$?”
And just what do you think Boner was doing over at the White Hut recently?
It was a “needs” assessment! Boner was just getting his marching orders.
