On June 19, 1995, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that Boston's St. Patrick's Day parade was a privately run operation that could write its own rules for participation.
Writing for the high court, Justice David Souter noted that gays and lesbians had never been barred from marching in the parade; they were banned from marching under their own banners. The court's unanimous ruling was a victory for the First Amendment right to freedom of assembly.
Once this decision was reached, gay and lesbian groups in many cities, including New York, were angry, and some tried, unsuccessfully, to march without a permit on the same day as the big parade.
The protests quickly fizzled: Only a very small contingent of gays and lesbians showed up in subsequent years. Now the fight has been rekindled, thanks to New York Mayor Bill de Blasio: He is not marching in the parade because gays and lesbians can't march under their own banner. Other public officials have followed suit.
It must be noted that the organizers of the parade, the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, do not allow pro-life Catholics to march under their own banners. Nor are NRA Catholics allowed. But just as gays can march, so can pro-lifers and NRA members; they simply must blend in like everyone else. No one feels victimized save for homosexuals.

“There is no more angry a sector of the populace than homosexuals.”
Did you leave out Muslims?
Anyway, the street flamboyant faggies don’t realize the backlash that’s stirred up among normal people. Much more subtle are gay parenting couples in today’s TV sitcoms.
It’s like the final Armageddon will be immediately preceeded by Sodom & Gomorrah.
Considering the ethnic makeup of New York City’s police force, it’s debatable how hard the “perpetrators” would be pursued. And there are various ways of disguising one’s appearance to make identification difficult, if not impossible. It IS a parade after all, and it wouldn’t be inconceivable that some of the participants or obervers would want to celebrate their Irish heritage by coloring their faces and hair green. Or wearing green wigs and leprechaun masks. Or something similar.
And it’s very likely that no one in the crowd would see anything ... anything at all. And from what little they did see, the poor Irishmen were attacked by a gang of tutu-wearing faeries, and did little more than defend themselves.
I saw them NOT because of Dicrapio.
Pretty much, if a movie stars Dicrapio, I probably will avoid it.
(not that I go to see many movies, 1 maybe 2 a year)
The gays feel they have a right to crash the party;they claim to be “Gay Lick”...
“Pretty much, if a movie stars Dicrapio, I probably will avoid it.”
Yep, I put up with him in that movie because I like Daniel Day lewis.............and he acted circles around Dicrapio.
Dicrapio isn't that type of actor.
They used to let the IRA march though. I always found that revolting.
What could be worse than being bitten by a Pogue?
will this be a family fight or can anyone join im?
In San Diego when we formed “Normal” under Roger Hedgecock, we lost our legal battle to march in the Gay Pride Parade.
Maybe we ought to take up a collection for their beer fund 🍻

Time for them to go back in the closet. Because it’s THEM, or US. What will will it be?
Inflaming the Irish is not in their best interest.
