I pretty much by everything, but for groceries, online. Really no point in going to the store. Can’t say I’m surprised.

And JC Penney, Sbarro Pizza, Ashley Stewart, Dots Clothing, etc., etc...

Somebody on another thread said that shopping malls are going to become Section 8 housing. The way shopping is changing, with so many going on the internet for so many things, businesses can’t absorb the overhead expense of too many brick and mortar stores. We’ll see.

Only jobs left cept for flipping burgers will be “Hello, my name is Peggy! What is problem please?”

It all depends. I know friends and relatives who live closeby to a megamall so they don’t need to shop online. Then again, there are introverts like another bud of mine who claims “he hates humans” so he shops online LOL

I’ve made decent money the other way around, calling people and selling them things or setting appointments for other salespeople, six figures in one case.

Wouldn't surprise me. Heck, when they start stacking shipping containers on top of each other it won't surprise me.

And JC Penney, Sbarro Pizza, Ashley Stewart, Dots Clothing, etc., etc...In obama's America, this is the norm. Iconic retailers that were once familiar fixtures throughout the land are being exterminated by obama's burdensome regulations, confiscatory taxes and his liberal scheme to force unionism on business. When Conservatism is triumphant, so too is American business.

I didn't see it in my quick scan of the article, however, one suspects that (although not mentioned) the obamacare cost burden/employee as one of (if not THE) main reasons for the store closures.

Our orders usually arrive in two or three days. Made an order ten days ago; it arrived today.
We are out in the middle of nowhere so it is important we have reliable service and delivery. Hope we can rely on future service no matter if it takes ten days.

Staples will probably close most of their big stores and open some smaller stores in better locations. That is what they are doing in my locale. Staples sell plenty of high margin items and have a huge online presence. I don’t think they will be going away.
