From the article:
Simpson said the owners told the dispatcher the cat has a history of violence. He said the cat remained with its owners.
Something is wrong with this picture.

Feral cats can be very dangerous, as they are or have become nonsocialized. They’re used to fighting for the things they need. Cute and cudly is not often their default mode. In other words, keep s full can of RAID handy, then blast that little beast directly in the choppers as with Mace. Of course, keep the spray away from little junior..

The story should be the man called 911 for help....
My previous cat terrorized me and lit up my son's face once,,, but who would call help?

This is unbelievable. No matter how big and out of control the kitteh is, it is not hard to pick one up. You just scoop him up and fold his front legs under him and he can’t do anything. If he tries to bight you just stick your finger between his front teeth and he won’t be able to bight down.
Talk about lame owners.

Oh my, cat haters are gonna love this one.
The facts are; this is very very rare for cats- even feral ones taken in.

.
We have an adorable, affectionate little part Persian tabby female named Katy and a huge, gentle solid black tom named Tommy.
While they always got along just fine, one day Katy got mad at the huge tom over something and whipped his butt, chased him into a bedroom and refused to let him out.
Every time he tried to come out she’d whip his butt- kept him pinned up in the bedroom for hours.
We finally had to close her up in another room until she got over her mad spell.
It was so funny to see this little female do all this to the much larger tom. LOL
Never did find out what the argument was about.
