I saw an ad for Capital One where a black guy says to a white lady “Boss....” She thanks him. In comes a white males, very effeminate, who says about an other co-worker that he is using staples and something else for personal items. By using “Boss...” to begin a sentence and by showing yet another white guy as weak, those messages are clear. I know we have seen a shift in ads in recent years where males are buffoons, that is the latest. Imagine if a black woman said “Boss...” to a white male superior in the same way? Wouldn't happen.

I don't know about Tammy Bruce. I'd like to believe she is an enlightened liberal (i.e., a conservative), but she's got an awful lot of left-wing baggage to carry.

Nevertheless, on this, as on so many other issues, she's got it completely right. There IS a coordinated effort underway to feminize our culture, and it does not bode well for our moral strength, our ascendancy, or our safety.

Paglia and Bruce are articulate and well-reasoned as it pertains to commenting upon the seeming cultural demise of the "man's man." Paglia will chomp on stogie with Limbaugh and yuk it up with the boys, if given the chance. Limbaugh mentioned it as much ~ 15 years ago on his program, back when Pagila was berating Clinton's peccadillos.

Each makes it a point to say that this very person is a core essential for the survival of Western culture, no less. That's said, they are in my opinion merely intellectually deconstructed/reconstructed libertarian/libertine liberals -- not conservatives.

You see, for all that, how is then that these women do not seek out that kind of man themselves for that most intimate of social company and instead remain the avowed lesbians that they are? Neither claims that for all their intellectual brilliance either of them are on a way back from that mental illness, "lezbrilliance".

Miss M: perhaps you have an Upper West-Sider's somewhat unique view on this that might help to edify the discussion, given your physical proximity to the preponderance of these "proclivitoids" -- and some who may even call themselves "conservatives"?

What am I missing? I remain suspect of both Paglia and Bruce.
