I’m glad Sarah addressed the CPAC, but please Sarah next time, no more Dr. Seuss. You make it so easy for the lame stream to ignore the many more important parts of your speech.

It would be nigh impossible for her to not get slighted, so why not just address the people that matter. If she gets a faithful treatment on Fox she does well.

So? The do that without fail ANYWAY. Night as well score points with the people that matter.

I can see your point of view re the reading of Dr. Seuss. I was kinda feeling the same way when she started. Too snarky was my thinking. But after asking myself why would Cruz read as part of the filibuster and why Sarah now? Inside joke?

I can not profess to really know or fully understand, but in a sense, am thinking, the reading of Dr. Seuss sends a clear understandable message. We have nothing more than children in charge. In adult bodies who never grew up. And maybe, just maybe thats all understanding they are capable of. Dr. Seuss level of intelligence.

After that thought, i thought it was funny as hell and most appropriate.

Get real. They are going to ignore the important parts of her speech anyway. Dr. Seuss will stay with them and everyone. Lighten up Louise!

If a person wants to reach an audience (those who vote), it is best to communicate in a manner that they can understand!

Sarah knew it would hit a nerve and especially irritate the LSM, RINOs, and the WH.

I think her big point in opening with it was to throw it in their faces about all the incredibly stupid things obama has said, and it’s all ignored. But they attack Sen. Cruz for nothing, just as they’ve done to her. Even some members of his own party attacked him over it, never once giving him accolades about his excellent points on the Constitution during that filibuster (that I’m aware of).

Think about it, the media, dims, and RINOs all tore Sen. Cruz apart for reading Green Eggs and Ham, so Sarah tore into their hypocrisy and mocked them and “the won”with her version.

The bonus: She knew she would have them talking about it, then those who might not have heard her excellent points, will likely take the time to do so.

Thousands loved the Seuss reprise. Since they didn’t ask anyone else to close the CPAC meeting, they obviously like her style and her courage to express herself in her own terms. It’s refreshing not to see everyone canned and packaged...and ignored.

“Sarah next time, no more Dr. Seuss.”

Why? It was cleaver and made the point. Sarcasm is a powerful weapon.

If she did not use Dr. Seuss, the media would find another way to ignore the important points of her speech. And distort and lie about the rest. There are four groups that the media is their number one enemy: 1. Heterosexual men. 2. Christians. 3. Conservatives. 4. Legitimate gun owners.

re:Dr Seuss

You misunderstand her tactic......... she was making it so simple that even a lame brain, bottom of the heap, uneducated, Acorn/SIEU partisan could understand.

Biting humor is terrifically effective

Governor Palin is one of the few (only?) Republicans to effectively turn Saul Alinsky's tactics back onto Democrats.

The Dr. Suess riff was an example Rule #5:

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
