A robust campaign to tell the truth about Crimea is needed to counter Moscows lies
'Russian television news is reporting Nowadays, when I hear those words pronounced on the BBC or ITN, I cant help but wince. Over the past 10 days, Russian television news has reported, among other things, that 675,000 Ukrainian refugees have flooded over the Russian border; that extremists and neo-Nazi militants have illegally taken over the Ukrainian government in Kiev; and that Crimean self-defence forces or pro-Russian forces have spontaneously gathered in front of the Crimean parliament in order to defend it from those same Nazis.
Each of these statements is a lie: there are no refugees flooding into Russia. The queues of cars that appeared on broadcasts were found to be taken at a Polish border point, which thousands cross in any case every day. Nor have extremists and neo-Nazis taken over in Kiev: the elected parliament has now formed the government in Ukraine, following the presidents extraordinary decision to discard a negotiated agreement and flee the country.
Lets be clear about the self-defence forces in Crimea sometimes called pro-Russian forces: they are Russian troops. They are driving vehicles with Russian plates. Their machine guns are definitely not for sale at local shops. They have not arrived in Crimea to defend the local Russians from attack because local Russians were not under attack. They are there to create hysteria, to undermine the government in Kiev, and to persuade outsiders that the accelerating Russian occupation of Crimea is legitimate and perhaps that the coming occupation of eastern Ukraine, or other parts of Ukraine, is legitimate too.

You need to check your alarm clock..time to wake-up to the brave new “transformed” world.
Because I don't want people on our side to lose focus on who the real enemy is. Putin maybe a bad guy, I never met the man, but he is not an anti-family, anti-Christian, anti-prosperity weirdo wrecking his own country and he is not wrecking my country. Obama is wrecking my country, RIGHT NOW! And as bad as Obama is, the men who fund him, who put him into power, and who give him his marching orders ARE WORSE! The men running Obama are the same ones behind the overthrow of Libya, the same ones arming Christian killing Al Qaeda terrorists to overthrow Syria, the sames ones behind the ongoing overthrow of Ukraine, the same ones telling me how bad Putin and the Russians are. And they are the same ones trying to overthrow my Constitutional Republic and my entire Civilization. The Globalists are the instigators of this whole Ukraine situation and are a threat to us just as much as they are a threat to Russia. They are a threat to all Humanity.
I’m not nearly so sure about Putin’s Christianity as you. As I remember, when Putin visited Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas, he was interviewed by kids at the local High School, he was asked what his religion was. His answer: I am an atheist.
Might it be that Putin, that old former crafty anti-God KGB agent, only uses the Russian Orthodox Church to further his political aims? I would hope his alleged conversion is genuine, I have my doubts.
[Racking my brain tying to recall when the US sent troops wearing no insignia to occupy someone, that the US still occupies.]
Amen, Count. We are being sold the dumb lie that "Ukraine is all good; Russia is all bad." The enemy of my enemy might still be my enemy. The enemy of my enemy might have a mix of good and bad.
Why can't we just admit that such upheavals MOST OFTEN have a mix of good and bad. We need to be honest about the bad apples and work to get rid of them.
The fact is that 3 high cabinet posts were given to the founder of neo-Nazi party Svoboda and 2 of his cronies. They are national security secretary, defense, deputy prime minister.
National Security & Defense Council Secretary
National Security & Defense Council Secretary
Co-Founder of Svoboda: Andriy Parubiy (43) A seasoned politician with the Maidan seal of approval, Parubiy has served as a lawmaker in the Verkhovna Rada since 2007, first for Our Ukraine, then for Fatherland. Served as coordinator of the Euromaidans Samooborona self-defense forces, and helped negotiate a cease-fire with police following last week's bloodshed. Dmytro Yarosh, the head of the nationalist Right Sector, had been offered a deputy post on the council, but has not yet agreed to the terms. Unlike cabinet ministers, his post was approved by the interim president.
Defense Minister
Rear Admiral Ihor TenyukhRear Admiral Ihor Tenyukh Rear Admiral Ihor Tenyukh Ihor Tenyukh (55) Rear admiral and former commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Tenyukh provoked Russian animosity in 2008 when he ordered vessels to block the entrance of the Russian Navy to the bay of Sevastopol during the Russia-Georgia War. Two years later, he was dismissed from his position by Yanukovych. Tenyukh played an active role during the Euromaidan protests, calling on members of the armed forces to defy illegal orders from the authorities. Lviv native and member of the nationalist Svoboda party.
Deputy Prime Minister
Oleksandr Sych (49) A member of parliament from the nationalist Svoboda party, Sych has served as the party's longtime ideological chief and the head of its regional organizations in Ivano-Frankivsk. Has worked as a history professor and has authored numerous essays on the history of Ukraine's liberation movement. Coauthored a controversial bill proposing to ban abortion except in instances of medical need or documented rape. Has said women have the right to not get pregnant, but should do so by leading an orderly life.
Its also ironic to me that at the invitation of Abe Lincoln Russia sent two squadrons of its navy to harbor in New York and San Francisco harbor where they remained for seven months to deter any British naval assailants who might have been thinking of using our internal divisions to their own ends.
This was in 1863 an mere 54 years before the advent of Marxism. Today we are beset by those who are unable to seperate the ideology of marxism from todays Russia.
Instead they are pawns of those who are heck bent to get a fight between east and west stirred up.
We imagine some Chinese Majors writing about asymmetric warfare are the threat. It’s the Redfellas. There is no meaningful distinction between military-governmental, corporate and organized crime hacking. “You don’t understand, it’s a higher calling.”

Putin is as much of a Communist as Gennedy Zyuganov, the leader of the Russian Communist Party.
Read the CPRF website, and you will see that they agree 100% with the actions of the Putin government.
Veeery interesting. I wasn’t aware of that. Thanks.
Putin may be a strongman and a dictator but he definitively not a Communist. I'd say he was closest to Franco. I don't think Russia is Communist anymore.
And that is why I think the Globo-Commie in the White House and the Globo-Commies in London and the EU are so antagonistic toward Russia and Putin.
BS. The EU has no interest in a clash with Putin since Europe is the major trading partner of Russia. There might be some lip-service, but the business will never stop.
Putin is as much democratic as Obama or Merkel. He has nothing to do with Franco, who was indeed a dictator. All representative democracies are somehow “guided” democracies. Some more some less. The only real free country to me is Switzerland where you have a working direct democracy. All others are guided by elites and not by the people. Even your system in the US is far from being perfect.
Regards from Europe

“I don’t think Russia is Communist anymore.”
LOL ! So what ? China these days is more market oriented than majority of the west. Are you going to cheer for Beijing guys too when they decide to invade Taiwan ?
As the late Dr. Fred Schwarz so ablely wrote: “You Can Trust the Communists to be Communists”.
Putin is still KGB. Only the letters have been changed to confuse the innocent.
The Cold War never ended. It only went into a planned hiberation for a few years until things settled down and then up popped Putin and the arms race was on again.
He fooled Bush senior, Clinton (Not hard to do), Bush Jr, Hillary, Obama, Kerry, Hagel, Dempsey and the other surrender monkeys who haven’t a clue as to what is really going on in this world.
And Red China is our friend, right?
Might as well make kissy face with the Moslem Brotherhood while we are at it. Send a NASA representative to tell them how great we are in space, which is where they would send his head.
Reality sucks, and right now the world is one big sucker.
Go through a list of the nations of the UN and see how many support us. Scratch most of Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Asia Minor, SE Asia (might have a few up & coming friends there if they survive Red China’s tiger), and the European Union members.
Let’s face it folks, freedom is under severe attack and on the decline all over the world, and Obama plays with his putter and his balls while Rome burns.
They are mesmerized by Putin’s naked chest.
And his administration was chalk full of communists. I would have been cheering for Hitler when he turned on the Russians.
