So when did Ann's and Obama Sr.'s "whatever happened happened fast" wedding happen? For no apparent reason, confusion abounds among Obama's biographers over the wedding date:
1. Dreams claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were in married "in 1960"; similarly, Mendell's 2007 book claims that the couple were married "sometime in late 1960" when they "slipped off alone to the island of Maui"; and both Obamaland (2008) by Ron Jacobs (with contributor David Maraniss) and a 2007 Washington Post article claim that the two were married "late in 1960."
2. A 2007 Chicago Tribune article vaguely claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were married "six months before" Barack's birth on Aug 4, 1961 -- or, in other words, sometime in early 1961.
3. An April 2008 Time article by Amanda Ripley, as does Maraniss's August 2008 article, gives a specific date of February 2, 1961 for the wedding, apparently based on Ann's and Obama Sr.'s 1964 divorce records – mysteriously appearing on the web. But since fake documents have been known to appear on the web, Obama's biographers, Ripley and Maraniss, might want to verify the 1964 divorce documents – especially since a Feb. 2, 1961 marriage date for "Ann and Obama Sr." wasn't reported in any Honolulu Advertiser or Honolulu Star-Bulletin marriage lists from February 1961. Take the February 8, 1961 Star-Bulletin, which listed eighteen marriages from Feb. 3, Feb. 4, and Feb. 6, and no Feb. 2 marriages, and the February 7, 1961 Advertiser, which listed eleven marriages from Feb. 2 to 4, including two Feb. 2 marriages.

I read that earlier today. I took note of the fact that the only reason we now know this about Mark is that he admitted it. These are things he did a long time ago, and which he now admits are wrong. It’s possible for people to grow and change. I hope he has done so, and it appears he has.
However, cheating on an exam is not in the same league as pretending to the world he had a brother he never had. He’s owned up to his wrongdoing in the cheating case. For a permanent lie/deception there is no similar confession. If there were actual evidence that he’s lying about David: i.e.: if a person had been located who knew the family back in the late sixties, seventies and/or eighties, and who claimed Mark never had such a brother, then it would be Mark’s word [and A LOT of other people’s word] against that lone voice. If more than one person were found, it would certainly begin to look as if a deception had occurred [even the Bible says a lone accuser is not enough; two or three witnesses is required]. So far there has been no one, not a single, solitary person stepping forward to dispute David’s life and death.

Come on now, give it your best shot. If you try really hard, you’ll find that elusive child. If you shy away from it, you’re just not serious and all the blah blah isn’t worth the time it takes to read it.
You make good points regarding Mark. He has owned up to it.
That is more than can be said for his half brother 0.
When has 0 ever owned up to cheating; what status did he claim in order to go to school, such as foreign student (recall the Bio given to literary agent; claimed born in Kenya).
That’s just one area for starters.
Not to mention the autobiography and memoir ( written BEFORE becoming famous, I might add) that wasn’t really written by him.
0 is a cheat and a liar who wouldn’t admit to any wrongdoing even if someone got all in his face about it.
Fred, I have spoken to the questions you raise in this post elsewhere. If you want to know my thoughts you’ll have to delve into my posting history. Go back to the time when you and your pals were attacking me at about a seven or eight to one ratio. Back to when you & your fellow Mal-Valers acted like rabid dogs ripping a piece of raw meat to shreds. Back then, okay?
That, incidentally, was my initiation to the cult of Mal-Val. What I learned was that it was/is a crock. People who have discovered the truth don’t need to act like a gang of vicious bullies. They can stay calm and rational and present their facts. If someone rejects their facts, they can move on to the next prospective convert. They don’t have to destroy people with nasty, shameful personal attacks. The only people who have to do that are those who, like liberals, cannot argue facts & logic. They lose on that playing field. So personal attack is all they’ve got—and they use it w’out restraint.
One other thing I learned about the Mal-Val theory during that same period. Former friends turned just as vicious as the rest. My past kindnesses to them, and their certain knowledge that I was and am a true conservative, meant nothing. Nothing. All that mattered was that I had intellectual differences w the Mal-Val theory. Therefore I had to be savagely attacked and destroyed. From that fact the true nature of Mal-Val emerged. It’s a divisive theory that splits true conservatives and seeks to destroy dissenting conservatives more than it seeks to engage and discredit liberals. That is why our known liberal trolls never, ever attack it. They leave these discussions completely alone. That in turn causes Mal-Valers to label good conservatives who disagree w their theory as ‘trolls’ and ‘Obots’.
We aren’t. But any theory that calls black white and up down is fundamentally flawed. This is the case w Mal-Val, and it’s not something to be proud of.
Lets say the motivation to cheat on an exam is understood. Wrong, but understandable.
