I caught a bit of Rick Perry's CPAC speech today and, boy, does he have a fire in the belly.
Had we seen this fire in 2012, then perhaps he would have won the GOP nomination. Of course, Perry underwent back surgery which significantly contributed to his lackluster campaign.

It is true that there are precincts in which voter tampering is prevalent. So your solution is to say, “There’s voter tampering! Forget about voting, let’s start a civil war!”
Force of habit? Hardly. I won’t allow corruption and intimidation to scare me from exercising my Constitutional right to submit my vote. Nor will I allow descending voices to persuade me to believe that the only alternative is to start a civil war.
“If youre not ready for Civil War...”
What I find to be alarming is your quick-draw, knee-jerk reaction to assume you know that I’m talking about or thinking. In each case, you’ve been wrong.
Is civil war inevitable? I would say that it is possible, but until such time, I will continue to exercise my right to vote. If my grandparents, who immigrated from a foreign country, can take advantage of their right to vote when their lives were in danger by doing so, then I can.
They lived in a country in which people were actually shot at the voter box if they failed to cast the right vote. Were they foolish? I think not. You, my friend, could learn something by their conviction.
Hardly. I wont allow corruption and intimidation to scare me from exercising my Constitutional right to submit my vote.
We have a Constitution...?................... Who knew?
We do. Whether or not some of our leaders abide by it is another story altogether.
Thank you Bert
“Take a break and listen to a speech and stemwinding ending by a great governor.....”

I am a little late to this thread but this is one great speech!
Every Perry doubter needs to hear this one and see Perry’s passion.
