A Malaysia Airlines flight carrying 239 people has lost contact with air traffic control and was still missing two hours after it was supposed to have landed in Beijing, the airline said Saturday morning.
The airline told NBC News that a search-and-rescue mission was under way but said it had no further information.
The flight from Kuala Lumpur, carrying 227 passengers, including two infants, and 12 crew members, had been scheduled to land at 6:30 a.m. in Beijing (5:30 p.m. ET Friday).
Why? Because that’s what islam is.
Flightaware often has missing data in international areas. Articles are saying the flight was in the air for two to two and a half hours before contact was lost.

An Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration 9M-MRO performing fliht MH-370 from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to Beijing (China) with 227 passengers and 12 crew, was enroute at FL350 over the Gulf of Thailand in contact with Subang (Malaysia) Center when radar and radio contact was lost with the aircraft at around 02:40L (18:40Z). The aircraft would have run out of fuel by now, there have been no reports of the aircraft turning up on any airport in the region.
The airline confirmed the aircraft is missing, a search and rescue operation has been initiated.
Last contact was with Subang ATC. Radar track ends over a very mountainous, jungle area.
It sure sounds like a sudden catastrophic islamic event. There is a muslim separatist movement in China. That COULD be a factor if this turns out to be what it sounds like.
Powdered?
From Twitter:
BREAKING UPDATE: Xinhua: Radar contact with missing Malaysian Airlines flight was lost while in Vietnam-controlled airspace
That’s what I get for thinking the other day that it had been a while since there had been a major airplane crash and was thankful for that. :( Prayers for all involved.
How could CNN call it a crash without somebody - like a satellite - seeing it go down?
Prayers for the passengers and family.
You are right about that.
You know John Kerry would be the person to send to help investigate that he has been to Vietnam
Tweet from ITV News:
Chinese media report radar contact with Malaysian Airlines Flight MH 370 was lost of Vietnam
If it crashed on land, they may have found the wreckage by now. But it’s out in the South China Sea—they it could be days before they find the wreckage....
Probably a bad center fuel tank...
Then the crew had no time to respond to whatever happened. It’s down either near land in the Gulf or in nasty jungle/ hill area on land. Malaysia Air was well kept up by appearance the time I took it, very nice employees and lots of Chinese/Malay passengers. All our prayers.
Despite what the many witnesses on land may say.....
Not sure about the Muslims in China, but lest we forget, one of Al Qaida’s early plots was aimed at bringing down airliners over the Pacific:

Did a cursory check of the weather along the route of flight; didn’t see any thunderstorms over the South China Sea or the mainland; doesn’t look like this will be an Air France scenario, where heavy weather—coupled with poor decision-making by a junior pilot—led to the loss of an Airbus and everyone on board.
And a map of Thailand is supposed to tell us something about a flight from Malaysia to China?
