President Obama spoke about respect when talking about Aretha Franklin’s famed “RESPECT” song Thursday night at the White House, but he clearly failed to show her that same respect when he spelt the name of her hit song wrong.
The White House hosted soul singers for a concert, including Aretha Franklin, who performed at the President’s 2009 Inauguration, Patti LaBelle, and Ariana Grande.
President Obama told the crowd, “When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her…”
The crowd roared in laughter before allowing the President to finish his introduction.

Must be that control chip that was planted in his head has misfired again.
Leaving aside any questions about where he was born, his citizenship status, etc., Barry is absolutely NOT an American culturally. There’s just too much that comes naturally to those of us born/raised here that he’s clueless about.
Obama was just doing what he always does, reading what is on the teleprompter without having a hint of comprehension of what he is reading. He is Soros’ sock puppet.

Media won’t report it, now if Sarah Palin had said it there would be non-stop coverage of the media calling her a moron, but hey it’s Obama so its A OK..besides, can’t really blame Obama for not knowing how to spell respect, he doesn’t know the meaning of the word
Dan Quayle was never forgiven. This moron will get a huge pass. You’d think he’d read his teleprompter better before opening his illegal alien mouth.

I’ve seen it twice on our local stations today complete with snarky comments from the local anchors.
What is different is that after today, it won’t be seen again.
Quayle still gets taunted with it. Of course as Chairman of Cerberus Global Investments, he’s laughing all the way to the bank.

Snarky comments meaning they were making excuses for him? Because remember, when Obama makes a boo boo its no big deal, after all, its King Obama, he can do and say ANYTHING and get away with it..but if a Conservative mispronounces a country or spells something wrong its a top story everywhere
No they were definitely mocking him.
I suspect the late night tv comedians will do that too.

WOW Im shocked..Im shocked for once the media actually laughed at Obama, you wont hear any laughter on MSNBC or CNN though, they either wont report it or will say that if you laugh at him that your a racist, ya know, typical stuff from the left
Nobody watches those channels (at least when there is no big event happening) so it’s kind of moot.
Their primary value is to communicate the party line to the hard core cadre of progressive activists.
Since they are both owned by cable companies with huge profits, they really don’t have to compete, just offer up the gospel according to Soros.
Well, trifling, nit-picking, gotcha’s are what we’ve come to expect from them.
Here’s something nobody seems to be talking about:
all presidents have hosted events like this, to recognize and highlight the accomplishments of artists. They’ve usually deferred to the advice of people more knowledgeable and chosen those honored with an eye toward inspiring others.
Obama’s tastes are pedestrian, limited to Rap, R&B, with a little James Taylor style schmaltz. He obviously finds nothing in culture beyond its entertainment value and seeks to level the cultural field by honoring pop singers.
It’s another indication of the spiritual demoralization he’s sought, along with the economic, legal, and moral decline.
I read that really fast, for a second I read “demonization” instead of “demoralization”.
Well, he’s demonizing as fast as he can.
Even if you are such a dumbass that you can’t spell “respect” you’d think that a brotha would at least know the lyrics by heart. He’s not even good at being black....
It takes a special kind of stupidity to misspell a word that has been set to music and has the spelling burned into an accompanying tune to help get all the letters in place.....
Multi-syllable words are too much of a stretch for him.
It’s a consequence of killing too many brain cells.

The first time I heard him speak, I thought, “Oh sh—” I knew that his voice was mesmerizing. It has something to do with the way he swallows last syllables. Anyway, he SOUNDS like he’s capable. And that’s enough for the TMZ voters.
