Veteran gay rights advocate and former San Francisco Human Rights Commission staff member Larry Brinkin was sentenced to one year in county jail Wednesday for possessing child pornography.
As part of a plea agreement, Brinkin, 67, will serve six months of his sentence in county jail and six months in home detention, the district attorney's office said. He will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

I have ‘well educated’ friends who think the whole thing is genetic although there is no scientific basis for this claim.

It’s worst than you think. When the original article was posted a few weeks ago, there were descriptions of what he was viewing at the site. It was ghastly and involved babies. As posters are pointing out, others would get decades for what he did.
Major fail with this sentence. Toddlers cannot "engage" in this type of behavior.
If being homosexual is genetic, we ought to be able to eradicate that gene from the population shortly. Wonder how homosexuals would like that?
