I hear McConnell say, put me back in the Senate, give me a majority, and all will be well-bullshit! Sadly, there are too damn many Republican voters with blind faith in this proposal.

Ann was brilliant along with Mickey Kaus. CPAC is headed by Al Cardenas, an amnesty and Jeb Bush supporter. They thought they could mute Coulter on the immigration issue by putting her in that inane format along with a moderator who could control her thru the questions. It didn't work.
Ann and Kaus must have gotten together before the panel and conspired to link everything back to immigration. Essentially, they gave the middle finger to the CPAC organizers. The only panel CPAC had on immigration was stacked with amnesty supporters.
Kaus has been very good on the immigration issue. I met him at an event sponsored by the Center for Immigration Reform. He gets it re immigration and its impact on this country.
Bravo Ann and Mickey. FU CPAC.

I loved the format and loved the questions.
It was a highlight for me.
Ann’s closing remark sealed it!

My grassroots immigration organization had a booth at CPAC for five years. I sat on the annual executive panel that established a theme for CPAC and what speakers to invite. It was a constant struggle to make immigration a major issue. I sat next to Grover Norquist who really ran CPAC under David Keene. He was a constant thorn in the side of those of us who wanted to address the immigration issue.
When Cardenas took over, he shifted the balance towards amnesty. One of his aides and myself got into a shouting match at one of the CPAC welcoming events. He essentially said that the problem with the GOP were people like me who did not want to adopt the policy of outreach. CPAC is just a creature of the Establishment under the veneer of conservatism. They tried to ambush Ann Coulter today and she outsmarted them.
The GOP won't win many more Hispanic votes because most Hispanics favor Big Government and enjoy the benefits it offers. They are not conservatives.

The format was supposed to constrain Ann and she just turned the tables. She was brilliant and could not have pulled it off without Mickey Kaus’ cooperation.

Yes! Go Sarah!
I bet that poll on Drudge bumps up for Sarah after this!
She is paying very close attention to this election.
Thank you very much for the heads up.

I agree with your assessment of Ann Coulter and I think you will agree that Pat Caddell did the same on his panel.

She’s the next and final speaker, IIRC.
Straw poll announcements going on now.
No surprises ... Rand Paul, I’m sure.
