CPAC 2014 kicks off this morning at 9 AM, with comments by Ted Cruz. I didn't see a thread, nor have I been able to find any links to a live stream of the event. If not, why not? If there are, please post the link. Lots of fascinating speakers..link to the list below..

They chose a side way back in 2008, when Brit Hume and the rest of the GOP-e talking heads pretended Fred Thompson was an invisible man even though he was giving Romney a real run for his money in several primaries when Romney had outspent him a zillion to one. Had they started actually reporting that story early in the primaries instead of pointedly ignoring it, Thompson would have made a lot more headway and maybe even won. But I watched in amazement one Sunday after a primary in which Thompson had actually beat Romney, and Brit Hume didn't say a friggin' word, he didn't even mention Thompson's name.
That was when my eyes were opened to Fox and the fact that Brit Hume, formerly a favorite, was a fraud. Such an ironically appropriate name for a media outlet supposedly providing a "fair and balanced" alternative to the rest of the lamestream media: it's a case of the fox guarding the henhouse.
Fox News is the voice of the GOPe. It is every bit as despicable as ABC, CBS, and MSNBC.
I tuned in just as he ended his comments. He seemed dismissive.
Then again, the elites wrote off Reagan in the late 1970s too.
The farther 1980 gets in the rear view mirror, the more I realize what a God-driven miracle it was.
