Where Lois Lerner goes, drama follows.
On Wednesday, the former IRS officer again invoked the Fifth before the House Oversight Committee. That precipitated a heated exchange between the committee’s Republican chairman, Darrell Issa, and Democratic ranking member Elijah Cummings, who called the hearings “un-American.” And that spat has become the story.
No doubt that is exactly what Cummings had in mind. Because it distracts attention from the substance of the hearings — and from the questions raised by e-mails and public remarks Lois Lerner wrote, received or made when she was IRS Director of Tax Exempt Organizations. The Weekly Standard reminds us of the main ones: • Why did Lerner describe the Tea Party matter as “very dangerous”? •What made her worry that a “c4 project” (looking at how nonprofits and unions are abiding by IRS rules) could be construed as a “per se political project”? •What was meant by an email she received saying discussions about new regulations would be addressed “off-plan”? •When she complained in public that “everyone” was “screaming” at the IRS “to fix the problem” created by the Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United — which affirmed the free-speech rights of corporations — who was “everyone”? And by fixing the problem, did she mean effectively subverting the ruling?
In this context, it’s not surprising that Democrats have pooh-poohed the investigation. The record shows Democratic pols, including New York’s Sen. Chuck Schumer, among the screamers insisting the IRS investigate conservative outfits.
The questions raised by Lois Lerner’s own comments and e-mails remain compelling.

Because the “everyone” screaming to “fix” this, are White House staff and Senate leaders.
We need to fill a few of those empty prisons around the country.
It’s a jobs creation idea.....
The difference then was that the rest of Republican administration basically cooperated. In this case, the party in power is not cooperating in any way.

True, but it wasn’t just the republican party folding on Nixon. The party would not have folded if it weren’t for the Woodward and Bernstein media of the day tearing away at Nixon’s carcass. After all, Nixon had won 49 states even after the Watergate break in.
If the media were not just stasi agents then OweBowMao and his ilk would be tarred and feathered by now.
I think Lerner is hiding the fact the very harassment of conservative 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) groups by the Internal Revenue Service was approved by someone very high up in the Obama Administration—Valerie Jarrett possibly, and the President personally signed off on it.

Show trial my petute. This is whole and total show
government. Our representative republic ceased to exist
the day Obama was sworn in. The constitution is a dead
letter and the only reason they haven’t taken our guns is
because they don’t have enough wetbacks in this country
to replace all the people their gay military is going to
kill taking them.
It’s all for show because there is nothing anyone, not
even congress or the supreme court can or will do about
it. It’s not that they are spineless, they know it and
most of them are on board with it. The only thing left is
civil war and that is what the show detours. Our money is
worthless, there are no property rights and every one of
the bill of rights have been totally compromised. I think
that one would be very hard pressed to prove otherwise.
An untimely death maybe?
Had to laugh last night when I was channel surfing by CNN. Lil' Erin Burnett said, "Congressman Issa 'tried to stop the hearing.'" Uh, Miss Burnett, Issa is Chairman, and he gaveled the hearing over. He didn't "try" to end the hearing, he ended the hearing. That's what Chairmen do with their gavel.
How stupid do they think we are?
The one email Issa put up during his questions yesterday is very damning, it lists names of those in the Administration that she was involving...
That was a shot across the bow to those people. We know who you are, we know you have been involved. We are coming for you.
They were sending a clear message yesterday. It was not to Lerner. It was to the criminal Cabal behind it. They have other emails that show direct links. Count on it.
Gowdy may not be running the show he is pulling some strings on how this is being played out along with Chaffetz and the other I can not think of right now.
She is doing a great job on hiding those.
What is Lois hiding, several smidgens of corruption.
Your right this was all instigated by an enraged President because of the Citizens United case,look at the time line when Obama yelled at the Supremes at the State of the union speech and Feb 11 when Lerner was set in motion
