...Vice President Joe Biden arrived in the Senate chamber to break a possible tie -- a clear indication that the White House knew the nomination was in trouble. But there was no tie. Seven Democrats voted "no," joined by 44 Republicans -- the GOP's John Cornyn was the only senator not to vote -- capped off, finally, by Reid's procedural switch.
The vote was a clear defeat for President Obama, who himself practiced civil rights law before taking up politics. The path forward for the Civil Rights Division position is not clear. But in the case of Debo Adegbile, even changing the Senate's rules was not enough for the president to prevail.

Maybe they should read the new release
“Imagine Living in a Socialist United States” and the cop killer’s excerpt.

He’ll appoint the slug during a recess.
The Democrats will use any means necessary.

Why didn’t Cornyn vote? Was he in Texas celebrating his primary win?

This Democratic turn against Obama is why I believe that there is some hope that conservative Democrats can work with conservative Republicans to overturn constitutionally indefensible
Obamacare Democratcare after 2014 elections. The Constitution's Clause 2 of Section 7 of Article I gives a congressional supermajority the power to override presidential vetoes.
Note that Congress has exercised is power to override vetoes as recently as Bushes 41 & 43 and also with Clinton.

I am surprised. Some Rats actually aren’t robots and can do the right thing.

Hell appoint the slug during a recess. That could be tonight.
Or, even earlier. I'd imagine Harry Reed (sicKo) going to take a leak could be declared a recess, for the purpose.

Dream on. Such Democrats became an endangered species when Hubert Humphrey assumed room temperature.

This means nothing. The Obama will declare Congress is in recess and install the racist assistant AG under an invented rule approved by Eric Holder.

What's WORSE than having a cop killer's lawyer in the DOJ?
