Bitcoin was designed to be virtual gold except much easier to transact. The gold in my safe is a long term store of value like the 1/2 bitcoin that I have gotten so far for testing purposes. Eventually I will earn them rather than buy them but that takes a mindset much like an author.

People buy your books not just because they are bored and need something to read but they agree with what you say, support what you say, and want the information you give them. That is the way the bitcoin economy works.
