Then thought about all the bad news spewed today and negative speeches and government control and thought how sad it was.
The Carter period immediately before Reagan was amazingly like today. Thought of that again yesterday after hearing John Kerry’s weak-kneed prattling on Ukraine. Carter would have sent Cyrus Vance out to say something like that over a whole host of international crises.
So there is hope (though our “taker” class is infinitely larger than it was in 1980)

I hope this becomes incorporated into the Republican platform this year and 2016.
