Add to this the fact that the Ukraine government put Moscow on notice that they intend to use their nuclear weapons against Russia if it becomes necessary.

Strange days....

I believe that the Ukraine was relieved of all their nuclear weapons by Russia under the eyes of international watch dogs when they went for independence.

They should have none.

As a side step....If they do, then that Memorandum (which was brought up yesterday) is null and void. I believe it was just that...a memo written during lunch.

I don’t think Ukraine has any more nukes. We, the Russians, and Ukrainians had a program to transfer some of those weapons to the Russians and destroy the rest.

They do not have nukes, because we decided along with Russia and the UK to disarm them in exchange for a promise to respect Ukraine’s territory and national sovereignty within its existing borders.

That treaty is called the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, and obviously Russia has been stepping all over it. So now, as a co-signer of that treaty, what do we do?

They don’t have any. They were silly enough to give up a large modern nuclear arsenal based on “ guarantees” of territorial integrity by the US , UK and... Russia. There’s a lesson here for Israel, Taiwan, S Korea mad Japan. If I were Poland I would be looking to start a nuke program too.
