This is a touchy thing, this Ukraine.
Being ethnically split as it is is a large part of the issue. Half the country want’s to ally itself with Russia, the other wants to distance herself. This is a civil war more than anything else. I don’t think you could go to war for “the Ukraine” right now because the country doesn’t quite know right what it is itself. A partition seems in order. Much of the country seems to welcome the Russians in as big brother protectors. I would not send my troops in to “defend” Ukrainians from a Russian incursion that so many of them see to be rooting for.
So if Cuba invaded Miami cause their’s a large Cuban population there, are you saying the U.S should accept this.
And Danzig in Poland in 39.
The Nazis used Danzig as an excuse to invade Poland.
And what about Chechnya. Why should they be forced to live under the Russians.
The Austrians welcomed Afolf Hitler with enthusiasm. There is truth to his statement “we come as liberators not as conquerors.” Most Austrians wanted reunification with Germany - and the West was not about to stand in their way.
The Crimeans are mostly ethnic Russians - again, they want to join Russia, the West is not going to tell them they can’t. A Russian attack on Ukraine proper on the other hand, that would be clear aggression.
But its not like the West can stop the Russian Bear anymore than it could stop Nazi Germany in the late 1930s.
European borders are not so sacrosanct as every one believes. They have changed many times throughout history and they will change again for sure in the future.
And I wonder why so many in here want us to militarily get involved in yet ANOTHER possible civil war.
The US has not business intervening. Where we have intervened since the end of the cold war we have left sorrow and despair and an emboldened terrorist network. US State dept and EU and NATO: stay out.
Agreed. The US NATO and the EU should absolutely keep their noses out. These entities have already done enough damage to the security of the world in order to promote their secular atheistic and corporate agendas.

Why? Many of them want to get involved because they are clueless about the reality there. Shoot from the ship crowd. Brainwashed by the so-called western media.

With the documented history of the war and Hitler’s designs for world dominance recorded, What”truth” do you speak of ? You seriously can’t beleive that.
