No, thank you. I would prefer to parent my own children without interference and irrational but politically correct guidance from those who have produced a growing catastrophe among the children most affected by government’s meddling in the family.
There will be a lot of kids repeating the 6th grade again, and again, and again, and again, and ag...
Apply it to the children that are D-level or below,
My grandson’s school requires that anyone who assists a child in their family with homework attend a three hour session on a Saturday morning or afternoon just before school begins. But the only purpose is to go over what will be taught that year, how it is being taught and what the school expects the child to learn. As a grandmother who occasionally monitors homework completion, the portion dealing with math is particularly helpful since it’s been a while and the methods of teaching have changed a whole lot.
Each session closes with a brief prayer led by the presenting teacher asking God to guide the teacher, children, parents and grandparents through the process so they may all benefit. But it’s a private church affiliated school.

I’m busy anyway and I have to take my kid to the doctors several times a year to ensure they are healthy, shop with the little brats who really do slow me down but, there is no sitter.
I gotta take extra hours out of my day, my life and help them get up in time, wash up, feed them, scrub their teeth, make sure all their school work and supplies are going out the door with them, I take what precious time I have left at the end of a day to feed them once again, help with their homework, teach them other valuable lessons in life, answer their weird questions, debate and negotiate getting them to be peacefully, while making sure “they” cleaned their room and whatever other chore is their responsibility, I take em to BSA/GSA, Church, Church functions, drop them off for sleepovers and play time, make sure they are up to date on immunizations, coach whatever sport caught their fancy today, take them on vacations, take them to dinner, take them to after school activities like sports, the clarinet, the Obo, The Bassoon, Kaliapie...Whatever...
Heck, I’m involved in PTA and go to every Parent/Teacher conference there is. My child’s education is important to me and I wanna know what we as a family need to work on at home.
I stay up all night when they are sick, pretending to be sick or just worrying if I am doing the right thing for this child or that one.
You know, like they are unique individuals.
One of my kids has Asbergers which is a real commitment to helping him.
They occassionally play with things they shouldn’t like matches or knives and well, stuff happens and I just deal with it.
Sometimes they wanna do my job and cook. As you can imagine a child cooking can be a real disaster or it can be real treat. In any case, I’m the one cleaning up that mess.
But, you want me to add to this very short list of things I do with and for my kids your demand of one more commitment or you will hold my kid back because I didn’t comply with a law that really, is all about you?
Pound sand.
I will never live in your state....
I would do that.
But, this Diaz character is promoting just so much Hooey...
Then the kid don’t go to 7th grade, what can I tell ya’...
I know a child perv, out free while waiting for trial. He was the principal of a school and had children of his own and now grandchildren. He’d attend such meetings, glad hand all around, go out, and molest or groom a little child right after. The meetings would probably excite him to do it more.
I’ d give him his day in court.
I don’t know what you mean by that. Meaning I shouldn’t call him a molester until after his day in court?
As a general rule yes, unless you have firsthand knowledge. Proscutors can get grand juries to indict ham hamsandwiches, or so I'm told.
And if they refuse?
