So much of what they sell is obsolete.

In my experience, everything carried by Best Buy is found in the manufacturer's current assortment, and usually represents every tier the brand offers. Have you ever investigated the model variety and model years on display at your local Wal-Mart? Do they even carry 4K HDTVs?

I know not to buy merchandise at WalMart because it's often not the same quality as non-discount stores. I've fournd that it's the information problem, that so many of the employees just don't know any more than I do (and I'm a tech idiot).

Amazon now has a function which, after reading their very good descriptions and customer reviews, you can ask a question about the merchandise, and you usually get several answers from other Amazon customers who purchased that item.
