As millions of moms consider digging into pocketbooks for Girl Scout cookies this year, they may be interested to know about the hiring of Krista Kokjohn-Poehler in the Girl Scouts executive office in New York City.
Kokjohn-Poehler is an out lesbian married to a woman named Ashley Kokjohn. And, given her sexual preference, it may strike some as odd that her job title is "Girl Experience Officer."
Her hiring five months ago was largely missed by the coterie of Girl Scout critics around the country who make the claim that the Girl Scouts have drifted leftward in the past 20 years.
San Diego Magazine featured Kokjohn-Poehlers 2007 commitment ceremony: Like many of the best love stories, this one began with a beautiful friendship. Krista Poehler and Ashley Kokjohn were immediately drawn to each other when they met in college, and spent countless hours discussing family, life goals and much more.
The brides were radiant in formal white gowns; their parents wore black, and the bridesmaids wore taupe. The couple exchanged matching diamond eternity bands an dread vows they wrote themselves, then their parents joined the bridal party and surrounded them in a circle of love. Ashley called it beautiful, spiritual and perfect.

Can’t make this stuff up.
Maybe Snap-on tools can sponsor them.
There are recipes online; you can make them yourself!
There are store bought equivalents to GS cookies. There are sites that list them..
Does lesbians have their own version of NAMBLA. I guess it is the girl scouts...
Believe me, your ignoring the girls as you walk past a cookie booth in your fancy coat with your nose up in the air does not leave the girls wondering about their product or its proceeds.
We simply tag you as a rude _itch and move on to the next customer. :-)
and the Boy Scouts are now run by repeal the DADT guy, Mr. Gates
I would not trust a publication put out by GSA, these funders of radical feminism and abortion.
Try the above, and read between the lines.
And if you want to get up the courage to know the truth, contact Johnette Benckovic. She ahs researched this fully, and has had on many former Girl Scouts who want to fix the situation.
A badge for lesbian experience cannot be far away....
Oh, you mean they don’t have one yet?
There’s nothing ruder than a mother hiring someone to tear up her baby, mostly under environmental pressure, except those who fund it and promote it. I think of these poor women as I strut by.
The garter ceremony must have been a hoot.
The GS execs said they are working on one lickety-split.
I just read your article and it backs up what I wrote . . . the proceeds from Girl Scout cookie sales are not funneled to the national scouting organization.
We are small troops in a rural section of Florida ... there are six girls in our Brownie troop and three in our Junior troop. We are 100 miles from our local council and 1,100 miles from New York City where they hired a big bad lesbian. If the woman does her job well, I could care less what she does in her bedroom. I’m quite sure she’s not going to appear at one of our meetings and give a lecture on same sex relationships.
Instead of discussing abortions we march in parades (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vznq_zJpA2o&list=UUSoGIdE4CWdC0tonXvQF3Bw) ... usually leading the way with the flag. We go bowling and skating and camping and learn juggling and make crafts. In the next couple of weeks we’re going to have a flash-mob singing event in the town square, a hike in the forest, a family fun run, and a weekend camping trip.
I really sorry that you can’t see the good things about girl scouts.
We are ‘Community Partners’ with the VFW Veterans Village (http://vfwveteransvillage.org/index.php). We maintain their garden, participate in their programs, and make gifts for them. We also have our weekly meetings at their facility.
Most of the girls are also members of 4-H. I’m sure that’s another organization you don’t approve of ... but since you seem to be a bitter person, your opinion means nothing to me.
well, you didn’t read between the lines. Nor did you check out any of the other three sites I sent
I am very actively involved with the Girl Scouts and don’t need to “read between the lines” . . . I see fist-hand with my own two eyes. Don’t let your imagination run away with you.
Don’t miss the four other sites I sent you.
It would be considered burying your head in the sand out of fear and denial.
Actually, I did visit the propaganda sites you posted. Be assured, we do NOT discuss abortions or sex at our meetings.
Obviously, you have a hated towards the Girl Scouts ... but for us it’s a great organization and we love being a part of it.
No. You did not have time to view any of the videos, nor read anything from the vast amount of girl scouts, former girl scouts, girl scout leaders.
You don’t want to know.
We are done.
