The family I mentioned paid their dues. The husband had his jaw broken and was wired up for 6 weeks, the house broken into 3 times. The wife exposed to certain unpleasantness as well. A decade later the husband was also mugged once, held up at gunpoint twice, and in protecting someone else being attacked on the street had his nose broken. Early “gentrification” is not for the faint of heart or naive.

Yeah, when I lived in Orange County, NY the yuppies who bought the overpriced mcmansions around the onion fields in Warwick, like clockword b!tch and complain about the slow moving farm vehicles that clog up the roads and the pesticildes that are "killing their children". Not to mention, on those hot sweltering days in July and August, the unmistakable aroma of cow manure wafting in the air. A similar situation by the dirt track in Middletown, they complain about the noise from races every Sat night in the spring and summer.
