A co-founder of Greenpeace told lawmakers there is no evidence man is contributing to climate change, and said he left the group when it became more interested in politics than the environment.
Patrick Moore, a Canadian ecologist and business consultant who was a member of Greenpeace from 1971-86, told members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee environmental groups like the one he helped establish use faulty computer models and scare tactics in promoting claims man-made gases are heating up the planet.
There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earths atmosphere over the past 100 years, he said.
Even if the planet is warming up, Moore claimed it would not be calamitous for men, which he described as a subtropical species.

Henry Wallace, FDRs Vice President, was a member of the Communist party USA.
They did the same thing to the Sierra Club, which is why I’m no longer a member.
I like this part. Nothing has changed and still going on today.
“like the one he helped establish use faulty computer models and scare tactics in promoting claims man-made gases are heating up the planet.”
Thanks, that coincides perfectly with the tenure of Patrick Moore and Greenpeace. I wasn’t knowledgeable about them back in those days due to making a living and raising a family.
For the last twenty or so years the eco’s and their organizations have gotten completely out of control even infiltrating government agencies like USFS and BLM not to mention the criminal EPA.
Bump
Exactly, they thrive on their faulty computer models and scare tactics.
Moore said he left Greenpeace when they decided to push a ban on chlorine. He said he was pretty sure that attempting to ban one of the elements in the periodic table didn’t make a lot of sense.
We are at a very low CO2 concentration in the atmosphere with .03/.04 %. We also have experienced a series of ice ages and desertification of much of Africa. Earlier in the Cenozoic Era, levels up to .11 % were common with no accompanying extinction events that the Global Warmers like to use to stoke fear. The only possible conclusion at present would be that climate worldwide and in specific locations is more complex than we believe. Much more work needs to be done.
I believe he has a great point. :)
Banning DDT years ago has cost I don’t know how many million lives due to malaria alone, if chlorine were banned it would probably dwarf those numbers.
Yes but you see most people know it is BS, but nobody does anything about it. Al Gore is now worth close to half a billion and rising from this scam. Any Repubs stepping up to have him investigated? Nope! Without question they would find something to pin him with which would end the scam, but nope, they just hide under their desk while he continues to run amok.
There was KGB infiltration of Greenpeace.
When Captain Coco Puffs was on the board of directors, I severed ties since at that point the Sierra Club actively supported eco-terrorism.
Doesn’t this bird brain know he is arguing with settled science?
LOL! I think he has a hunch. :-)
