“Republican legislators keep telling us there is nothing they can do about Obamacare, unless the American people give them majorities in both houses of Congress and a Republican president. Thus, on what basis are we to empower them? Their word”?
In effect what they are saying is “You have to vote us in to see what we’ll do”

Early in Obama's first term, the Republicans were invited to a Healthcare Summit at the White House.

I posted in the LIVE thread that the first GOP member should have stood up and said, "we need a Jobs Creation Summit more than we need a Healthcare Summit," at which point they should have balked: we walk or we talk Jobs Creation.
