It has the makings of a royal mess for King Barack.
Monday mornings Supreme Court argument about the Environmental Protection Agencys authority to regulate greenhouse gases went badly for the Obama administration so much so that the real question before the justices seemed to be how severe the EPAs loss would be.
The administrations solicitor general, Donald Verrilli, pleaded with the justices to recognize the urgent problem of climate change, because the threat to future generations gets worse with each passing year.
But as the argument played out, the courts swing justice, Anthony Kennedy, made clear that he agreed with the conservatives that the administration had gone too far in its carbon-dioxide regulations. Even some of the liberal justices voiced skepticism about the Justice Departments position.
I know litigants hate this question, Justice Sonia Sotomayor told Verrilli. She asked which of two rationales he would prefer if you were going to lose.
I knew you were going to ask me that question, the solicitor general replied.

This is an argument to make before the Legislature. The fact that the Administration is asking the nine Justices of the Supreme Court to make this kind of a scientific decision shows how far we are down the rabbit hole.
>> the Supreme Court to make this kind of a scientific decision
Not the first time the idiots proved science is political.
I’d like to be optimistic. But when it comes to the SCOTUS actually getting it right it’s hard to be optimistic. I’ll continue to pray for a smidgen of sanity.
How much will King Barack’s thumb be on the scales of justice to get what he wants without appearing too obvious, I wonder.
Exactly right.
Bingo
Kennedy swings both ways.
Never again will I underestimate the supreme courts ability to come up with the wrong decision on any Constitutional matter.
Yes and there’s many more examples like Roberts finding that Obamacare fines were just taxes after all, therefore making it Constitutional.
This entire government is working against liberty AND justice and they all need to be replaced, ASAP.
Praying for sanity and dare I say “adherence to our Constitution”?
Roe v Wade ...
Trying to guess what the SCOTUS will do has bitten the right to many times before.
Only way to know is wait and see what they do and I’m not making any bets they’ll do the right thing. We have Obamacare, enough said.
I lost all respect for them with the Obummercare vote.
Welcome King Barack "Canute" Obama the Great.....
...Obama issues an Executive Order to the Sun...
....to increase it's magnetic field....
and make a good crop of sunspots before elections in 2016....
(PhysOrg.com) -- Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades.
The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age....and lasted 400 years.
Good luck surviving with no electricity and GE modified seeds.

“Either way, it was clear that this court would not be of service to the ‘king.’ “( From the article.)

They will be once the NSA has dished up or manufactured dirt on them.
Uh, Dana, I have news for you: SCOTUS is not a reliable barometer for protecting Constitutional freedoms.
And besides, the Clown and his jester Eric the Red have already demonstrated they will IGNORE the law.

Yes, which followed the MWP (Medieval Warm Period), when Greenland was partly green.
The AGW clowns are composed of con artist and their useful idiots.
Okay, I'm curious. How does low, or no sunspots, translate into "no electricity"?
