Vermont's rate of kids killed by abuse is double that of neighboring New Hampshire and four times that of Maine. It doesn't sound like your system is working too well Mr. Yacovone. I think those in state government who are responsible for this should be in handcuffs.
Sorry to rant but this story burns me up.
I’m probably at least as “burned up” about this story as you and I live in Texas. To me, all government bureaucracies everywhere exist for the bureaucrats and ACCOUNTABILITY is NEVER and I mean NEVER applied no matter what and now we see in NY teachers getting away with child molestation and being protected by the Union!
The part about it’s not just one persons decision is just a slick attempt by the bureaucrats to spread the blame so ACCOUNTABILITY can be avoided.
Anyone that had any authority over this incident needs to be prosecuted for dereliction of duty and jailed. Until that happens, these unhappy stories will continue.
TOO LATE!!!
We’ve had several child abuse deaths in GA lately also. But what can anyone expect since the left has devalued the lives of innicent children?
Most state’s DCF’s are too busy trying to pull kids from conservative parents, or so it would seem...
We complain when Child Services grabs kids, and we complain when they don’t and the kid gets hurt.
It seems like a crummy job.
All we should have to do is put the screws (and the boot, and the hot irons) on the parents and make an example of them.
Legalized abortion was supposed to put an end to this horror. But people who don’t really want kids have ‘em anyway because kids are the ticket to “free stuff.”
