The Ukraine Gun Owners Association wants the new government to add their own right to bear arms to the country's constitution.
As of today Ukrainian Gun Owners Association will start to work on the preparation of amendments to the Constitution, which will provide an unconditional right for Ukrainian citizens to bear arms.
People gathered in Independence Square in Kiev after President Viktor Yanukovich rejected a European Union trade deal for a $15 billion bailout from Russia in November. It was relatively peaceful for three months, but violence escalated on February 18. Over 70 people died during the week and amateur videos showed snipers shooting at unarmed protesters.

    My advice?
Don't put anything in about militias.
It causes a lot of unnecessary confusion.

And find a new phrase for “shall not be abridged” since so many libtards want to “interpret” it and so many mouth-breathers can’t comprehend it.

And add in anyone even suggesting a law should be passed restricting the right to bear arms be drawn, quartered and shot. Not necessarily in that order.

I might be moving to the Ukraine someday.
Which is odd, because my grandpa came from there.

    How about:
Every citizen must keep and bear military-grade and other arms (except nuclear) with suitable ammunition in their home and about their persons and vehicles at all times. The purpose of this guarantee is to allow revolution, prevent tyranny, facilitate self-defense, permit sporting and hunting, and just because.

    UKRAINIAN SECOND AMENDMENT:
“Because people have the right to defend themselves against criminals (including a corrupt Ukrainian government), there shall be no law that restricts or infringes IN ANY WAY on the right of citizens to possess, carry, conceal, or transport any man-portable weapon, including anything the military has access to.”

Well if the Ukraine keeps thinking freely about Second Amendment rights, I might bail.

Right now firearms and individual rights are mutually exclusive in Ukraine.

The Ukraine Gun Owners Association wants the new government to add their own right to bear arms to the country's constitution. This is a George Soros bought and paid for revolution. If anyone thinks the Ukrainians are going to get freedom and prosperity out of this deal they are dreaming.

I prefer the name “Pooty-poot.” I am not a fan of how Putin rules mafia-style but least he is rooting for the home team while Obama is actively working to bring the US to it’s knees.

IIRC, the word “militia” in most Slavic languages refers to the uniformed police.
Militsiya, milicia, militsioner, etc. It’s what’s written on the riot control shields when the police clash with demonstrators in the former USSR.
Anyway, gun rights = freedom & liberty. Ukrainians seem to get it.

Why man-portable? We know that wasn't the original intent of our own constitution. (both artillery and war ships were privately owned)

Agreed on all points, except I would put “may have” - just like health insurance, I don’t want the government telling me what I have to have. (Although it might be good. “I know honey, I really didn’t want a gatling gun mounted on my pickup truck, but it’s THE LAW!”)
