So, Flake wants sodomy to be forced down the throat of people who believe the Bible?

Another reason to GIVE ONLY TO CANDIDATES AND NOT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

It is NOT an anti-gay bill; it’s a bill that allows freedom of conscience. The Alliance for the Defense of Freedom, a well known organization that defends religious freedom nationally, helped write the bill.

However, the AZ legislature failed to put out press releases before the passage and thus allowed the media to define the bill, so politically, it will not fly.

As pointed out in an earlier thread, no one can discriminate because of their sexual preference (why? .. because I SAY so ? ... read some of Laz's posts .. )

But we (Christians) can and should be able to deny services for a queer WEDDING

THAT should be the stipulation, not because they're queer.

Another senator who forgot that his responsibility is to his state, not to the federal government or liberal special interest groups.

How dare Arizona contemplate letting their people skip the battle of the gays! Why, there’s already a list of targets - err, businesses, which would be confronted for their audacity in having religious beliefs, and plans in motion to quash those beliefs as they do not conform to the ideal world our betters have thought out for us.

Religious freedom - it’s bigotry! At least it is to the projectionists who are bigoted against religious belief that does not conform to their worldview.

The funny thing is, had all these idiots kept their mouth shut, there was little chance this law would have passed the governor’s desk, at least in my opinion. But by blasting her from all corners and painting her into the corner, I don’t think it is in their best interest and likely will blow up in their face.

Businesses have every right to discriminate however they want. There's nothing wrong with personal discrimination. Discrimination (freedom to choose) is our God-given right.

State laws requiring segregation of blacks from whites are another matter and are unconstitutional (14th Amendment). The feds have a Constitutional right to interfere with state laws that require segregation of blacks form whites.

However, the feds have no other Constitutional authority to interfere with any other form of discrimination on the state level and the feds have no Constitutional authority to interfere with the God given right of individuals and businesses to exercise their freedom of discrimination (freedom to choose) as they see fit.

We will VETO Sen. Flake as soon as he is up for re-election. Sadly he still has four more years to practice his religion of devout RINO ism.

Brewski should just keep on thinking about it till the smoke clears, and then sign it.
They’ll forget about it after a couple months.

Flake is such a disappointment. He will NOT be reelected as McCain managed. He is likely assuming that we will not have long memories. The one thing I NEVER forget is TREASON. And I despise traitors such as Flake.

Sen. Flake would do well to remember that if a certain Justice Department would have defended the Defense Of Marriage Act which I'm sure he voted for, then states would not be forced into the position of passing this kind of legislation in reply to the wanton attack on normalcy by militant activist queers.

Actions beget reactions. Attack begets defense.

Flake lied to get his job. He claimed to be a conservative, but all the time he was an establishment Republican.

So, fool us once, shame on you. Only if you get reelected after showing your true colors are Arizonans to blame.

Is it not clear that those who call respect for other people's freedom to associate or not associate, "anti" anything, display a clear totalitarian bias?

We need to stop catering to the Collectivist "newspeak," that has enabled our American totalitarians to increasingly suppress freedom in the name of "social justice," "fairness" or "equality."
