In 2012 in NY 11 we were slammed by Sandy. The conservative half of Staten Island dragged itself to the polls after sometimes having slept in tents for several nights. When the counting was done 14% didn’t vote, but those who did fought their way to the polls to say NO to Willard Romney. The RINO Congressman we have got 27% more votes than he did. I have never seen this analyzed because the GOPe doesn’t want people to know the bozos they send us are merely shills for amnesty high taxes and bigger government. Coultergeist is a fake and a mouthpiece for Boehner.
The problem with the article is that with anti-establishment candidates there will always be some like Akin or Murdoch or O'Donnell who lose races that another candidate could have won.
At the same time, there will always be moderate candidates who fail to win seats in liberal states or districts that they really didn't have much chance to win.
Coulter and Boehner and the rest of the RINO establishment have a problem.
They ain't really fakes. You see, they truly believe in their heart of hearts, that victory at the polls is all that counts and that this victory depends upon offering the voters "more" than the Democrats, but in a more efficient, family sensitive way!
What Boehner, Coulter, Rove, McConnell et al are just trying to do is sell US their idea, holding us among the faithful, while attracting they hope, more of the imaginary "middle" which will win them election.
That's their plan, Stan. They think that's what elected GW,* and was their plan with Juan McLame and the Mormon Milquetoast, not to mention Viagra Dole.
*Pure Rove-Think at its most inane. Karl (The Architect, Latinos Republicans of The Future Rove) took an easy landslide and damn-near turned it into a loss that cost GW a true mandate.
