I totally agree.
It will never work that way. ObamaCare is constructed in a way that only works if it’s mandatory — because it uses the compulsory enrollment of younger/healthier people to prop up a demographic disaster that is getting increasingly out of kilter with each passing day.

They know that Hillary will have to come out against it at some point if she expects to have any chance at credibility with the people, but they just don’t know exactly when that should be yet. And so they keep nibbling and hinting around that maybe Hillary wouldn’t be off the reservation too much if she ends up against Obamacare. Their hope is that she can spend her time criticizing the new republican alternative instead of actually addressing Obama’s fiasco.

I understand completely what your point is, but the bandaid costs are just cost shifting by the hospital to pay for a ton of other things. Some of those things, like hospital administrator salaries (some making well into the 7 figures), physical plant costs, etc., are under the control of the hospital and can be altered. Other things, however, like the cost of a CT scanner, or the cost to insure the hospital, etc., are out of the control of the hospital. The bottom line is that the solution is going to be a bit complex - but it is doable.
