Honestly, I’ve never loved them, but in nearly 50 years the band has cranked out scores of hit songs and memorable hooks. Their music is as diverse as their individual personalities and each brings special talents to the table. Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer are blues icons, Danny Kirwan should have been an Eagle with his countrified flair and Bob Welch, an enduring pop icon. I always enjoyed Christine McVie’s gentle voice and songs and Lindsey Buckingham is a freaking genius. Stevie Nicks is something else entirely, very creepy in an enchanting kind of way, with songs like “Gold Dust Woman”, “Gypsy”, “Dreams”, “Landslide”, “Sara” and “Rhiannon” that just become instant ear worms. With all the diversity, there’s something for everyone.

In these Blue Horizon Sessions out-takes of Jeremy Spencer's "My Heart Beat Like A Hammer", Peter Green not only demonstrates excellent slide guitar work, but again shows the genesis of a song as he rewrites the lyrics for the final master of "I'm Coming Home to Stay" for Fleetwood Mac's first album.
