Left-wing activist turned CNN host Van Jones ran to John Kerry's defense on Wednesday's Crossfire, after co-host Newt Gingrich slammed Kerry as "delusional" for recently hyping climate change as "the world's most fearsome weapon of mass destruction." Jones retorted, "It's not delusional to focus on climate disruption. It's delusional not to."
Moments earlier, the former Obama green jobs czar himself made a doom-and-gloom prediction about the hypothetical effects of what he labeled "climate disruption:" [MP3 audio available here; video below the jump]

VAN JONES: Now, here's a good question: should serious people focus on global political instability – terrorism, failing states, nuclear weapons – or should we focus on global climate instability – droughts, floods, extreme weather?
Here's the correct answer: yes, both, because climate disruption will make every other national security problem worse – big floods, crazy weather – that can destabilize governments, especially weak governments. That makes it easier for extremists to grab power, or to grab nuclear weapons. No food – people riot; when the oceans rise, people flee. You can imagine a world – with some of these scenarios – with a billion climate refugees. That's a dangerous place.
Gingrich led the CNN debate program with his attack on the secretary of state:
NEWT GINGRICH: In the 'Crossfire' tonight, two guests help us clarify John Kerry's priorities. Today, a traditional secretary of state might have called a news conference to address at length the near-civil war in the Ukraine; or the challenges we face in Syria and Iraq; or Iran's nuclear program – even the problems in Venezuela. A real secretary of state would focus on the real world.
Instead, we have a secretary of state who says the biggest threat we face is global warming. I want you to hear it again.
JOHN KERRY, SECRETARY OF STATE: In a sense, climate change can now be considered another weapon of mass destruction – perhaps, even the world's most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.
GINGRICH: That statement is delusional. It's perfectly fine if you're in the U.S. Senate, which has a hundred members, and anyone can be randomly weird. But delusional thinking is totally inexcusable for any secretary of state.
Jones then gave a short reply to his co-host, and then accused Gingrich of being a "flip-flopper" on climate change:
JONES: ...I think it's wrong to jump on him [Kerry] about this. First of all, I've worked on this issue, as you know, for ten years of my life. Climate change is a super-serious issue. The Pentagon says it's super serious; the CIA says it's super serious.
And I'm surprised at you, in particular. You are one of the most pro-science people in public life. Here, you've got somebody trying to elevate science to the global discourse. He's right to raise this stuff. I think you're wrong to jump on him.
VAN JONES is a DEMOCRATIC COMMUNIST. DEMOCRAT COMMUNISTS are the one’s pushing the AGW/CO2 scam to use it has political propaganga to grow government and increase taxes. That’s what COMMUNISTS DO. And democrats to.

I have listened to Jones talk, back when he was in an office at the White House. My jaw drops at what he says and nobody in the audience laughs or questions him.

The global warming propaganda does involve spreading fear about natural disaster.
That part of the pitch gained some traction after Hurricane Katrina with a giant “refugee” poster being displayed in a local high school cafeteria to spread fear and drive.
Its bad enough the left pushes this agenda, its worse when major businesses join in the propaganda campaign by having “sustainability” policies and “green” initiatives.
But of course the major businesses have their own agenda backing the GOPe and driving this country in the same bad direction at a slower rate of speed.
I am used to idiot Republicans from congress just repeating over and over ‘duh, it will lose jobs’ and then getting beat up with 50 different Dem comebacks, but Moore shot them all down easily with retorts that Dems were not ready for.
He does his homework and comes prepared.

Newt is right on target. All these problems going on and Kerry(he was in Viet Nam) wants to focus on climate change. What a dufus.
I moved from the frozen communist north of MA to the sunny land of freedom, TX. That makes me a climate refugee. It ain’t half bad.
The weather is always been unstable... it’s called “SEASONS”..

If anyone references climate change withour speaking about:
(1)The Milankovitch Glaciation Cycle,
(2)The Maunder Cycle,
(3)The Historic Record,
they are simply quite full of agendized Hosshiite. I call it "Soccer Mom Science."
BTW, not one American in a Thousand, no matter what their educational level,has been taught a damn thing about them, even though they are absolutely accepted by real scientists. Also BTW, Lawyers and English or other Liberal arts Majors should not be allowed in technical or scientific discussions. The former because they have clients who are invested in "Global Earming" which demonstrably does not exist, and the latter because they cannot even adjust their own bicycles or accept facts which may or may not contravene their feelings. The reason they became Liberal Arts majors, or far worse, "Education" majors, is because: (a) they cannot "do math," or could not deal with science courses, or because they were just plain dumb or lazy.
Like Al Gore, who was and is both.

(a) A Pulitzer Prize Winner.
(b) Fired.
The fact that (b) is the more probable result does not augur well for the nation.
Blood is on these people hands as they try to manipulate their fraudulent data to push their politics, increase their tax revenue (with their Carbon Tax schemes), and increase Government control over people's lives.
