It’s starting to look like there’s come collaboration going on with these hit pieces this week...Sowell, Coulter, and now Strassel.
It looks like the GOP-e are calling in all their markers - in panic, from the looks of it - to save the faux "conservatives" at the top of the Senate Septic Tank, and in doing so are outing some beltway journos that have been doing with their columns what McConnell and Cornyn (and Hatch, and...) have been doing with cloture. The camouflage just isn't as effective as it used to be.
Thomas Sowell has surprised and disappointed me this time around, although Ann Coulter has already proven to be chronically (and hopelessly) infatuated with all things RINO.

I think that Ted Cruz is trying to prevent the Establishment Republicans from self destruction, with predictable consequences in November.
Ted Cruz represents what most Americans think, especially those who still can think. Every time a Republican decides to be a Democrat-lite he loses. To Democrats bi-partisanship is agreeing with them, with a meaningless token change thrown their way.
We are already traveling at warp speed toward totalitarianism.
I guess we’re supposed to sit and observe incoming round after incoming round.

How pathetic.
I DONT CARE about the GOPs chances for the Senate! or I care about as much as I care about the RATS chances. after all they are one and the same, the Uniparty.
Boot Camp and training is suppose to weed out those unfit for combat. Unfortunately there is no similar weeding out process in politics so we often elect people lacking in either wisdom or courage and more that a few that are simply outright frauds.
What Thomas Sowell does not get (giving him the benefit of the doubt) is that Cruz knew the battle would be lost but would expose for all to see who was just talking that talk and who was willing to stand and fight. You are never going to win a war if your ranks are full of cowards and traitors. Which is why I called Cruz’s tactics brilliant. Now we know who not to send back to the Congress. Job well done Senator Cruz.
Now about that Thomas Sowell “not getting it” thing. Sowell is a very bright guy, smarter and more knowledgeable than I. So if I can figure things out surely he can too. One thing I do know is that Cruz scare the crab out of the professional elites. Anyone attacking Cruz is suspect of being an elite or employed by one. I think Thomas Sowell might have just outed himself.
All these idiots were for it before because the entire Tea Party thing sounded good and nobody in DC ever expected we actually meant what we were saying.
Now that the GOPe is realizing they can no longer look at this as a simple rebranding exercise, the reality is dawning on them that a pretty big percentage of conservatives actually expect Republicans to be conservatives.
This isn’t convenient, to say the least.
One more thing:

They are putting out daily talking-point bulletins on him!
Go Ted! Run for President. I will send money. I will vote for you as many times as Eric Holder's people get to vote.
