Idaho Republican Mike Simpson’s influence with fellow members of Congress is what makes him a key player in this year’s election, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President Rob Engstrom said Thursday.
Besides earning high marks on the chamber’s rating scale, Engstrom said, Simpson has the trust of dozens of men and women in Congress. That makes him valuable to the chamber, which can’t individually reach out to each member, Engstrom said.
Simpson is being challenged in this year’s election by Idaho Falls Republican Bryan Smith, who has the endorsements of groups such as Club for Growth, The Madison Project and the National Association of Gun Rights.

Simpson is a GOPe darling and a total sell-out. I live in District 1 but will do anything I can to rid Idaho of this weasel.

Definitely—one of MANY reasons why Boehner’s good friend Mike Simpson should be replaced by a true conservative.
Anyone in a position to support Bryan Smith IN ANY WAY AND TO WHATEVER DEGREE should do so. This will be a major victory for the Tea Party and true conservatism should it succeed—and it CAN succeed with our support. I’ve looked into this in detail and Bryan Smith is the real deal.

He has countless stikes. One of the most REVEALING is that he was one of only three Republicans to vote AGAINST a bill denying federal benefits to ACORN. Now if that is not REVEALING I don’t know what is.

Also known as the Chamber that gets away with promoting Soviet-style government control of the economy and crony capitalism by calling it economic development.
He is an amnesty supporter amongst the 26 that have been outed.
