President Obama will launch a significant new effort Thursday to bolster the lives of young minority men, seeking to use the power of the presidency to help a group of Americans whose lives are disproportionately affected by poverty and prison.
The “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative will bring foundations and companies together to test a range of strategies to support such young men, taking steps to keep them in school and out of the criminal justice system, a White House official said. Obama will also announce a more vigorous program to evaluate policies and publicize results to school systems around the country.
The effort will seek “to make sure that every young man of color who is willing to work hard and lift himself up has an opportunity to get ahead and reach his full potential,” the White House official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity ahead of the announcement. “The initiative will be focused on implementing strategies that are proven to get results.”
Obama had promised to launch a new project focused on young minority men during his State of the Union address last month. His focus on a relatively narrow demographic group is unusual for a president who usually stresses how his policies affect large swaths of the American public. It also comes after the first African American president has faced repeated criticism from those who say he is failing to pay enough attention to blacks and other minorities.

What Obama and the other leftist forget is that you have to teach a man to fish versus giving a man fish.
Just giving billions away and expecting something magical to happen, won’t work. You have to teach the person to earn a living.
That means staying in school and graduating and being responsible for and taking care of our wife and children. Pretty basic stuff but it works.
This program will fail miserably like all the other programs. Most of the violent, young blacks the programs are aimed at don’t want to be helped and will mightily resist any attempts to help them. They have low IQs, high self-esteem, and a horrible outlook on life.
When Obama speaks, money get laundered out to Democrats. It’s time to get out the vote in black America.

The initiative intends to help the only demographic that doesn't need the help.

Every man of color who is willing to work hard and lift himself up is already doing it. Same as every white male, asiian male, Latin male.........
Want to incentivize those that can’t? Make high school and college education mandatory in prison.
IF this were truly the goal, then this would be a laudable effort.
Unfortunately, it is FAR more likely that the effort will seek "to make sure that every young man of color, no matter how useless, criminal or hateful, will be given lots and lots of 'free' stuff, as well as promises of much more 'free' stuff to come - and NO ONE will be able to stop the flow of 'free' stuff because to do so would be 'racist'..."
