Georgia is working hard to be the first state to pass the Convention of States application.

The House Judiciary Committee and the House Rules Committee have passed the Convention of States application.

Georgia delegates decided to move the resolution to the House floor right away.
The Georgia House will be voting on the COS application today!

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF17 GEORGIA that the General Assembly of the State of Georgia hereby applies to Congress,18 under the provisions of Article V of the Constitution of the United States, for the calling of19 a convention of the states limited to proposing amendments to the United States Constitution that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of21 the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress.
