A trial is set to begin in October against the Boy Scouts of America after a Salinas man was accused of sexually assaulting a Scout back in 2007
Attorney Tim Hale is representing a young man who claims he was molested by his troop leader, Al Stein. He says the molestation happened at a Goleta Christmas tree lot in 2007.

No one saw this coming - the government forced a private organization to allow predators to their children. The government should be forced to pay.
Actually, Scout leaders still cannot be gay. The two-deep leadership protects the Scouts. When that fails, being gay or not doesn’t matter. A predator is not going to admit it.

The BSA is dead to me...my attachment to them has been severed in a most vile and violent method...
And to all those on this forum who would engage in excoriating Scouters who are sticking to their principles and morals and are leaving the BSA...well, let’s just say, take a look at your BSA’s Oath and Law before you open your vile mouths and type...hypocrites.

The predation was done by homosexuals ALLOWED to be leaders by liberal scout troops who were in VIOLATION of the rules.

A homo Scout leader who wants to prey on the kids is not going to admit he is a homo. The biggest issue we have now is older Scouts preying on younger Scouts.
I’m pretty sure that it was before 2007 that the Boy Scouts instituted a policy that no adult leader could be alone with a scout. They all had to go through training and there had to always be at least two leaders. Four of my nephews are Eagle Scouts and at least two of them and my brother have all served as leaders so I’m pretty sure of that policy. If there was a scout sponsored event and the policy was not followed, then the scouts get sued. Organizations like the scouts, sports, churches have always drawn pedophiles and kids have been molested. Its only been in the past few years that there have been screenings, training, and policies. When my son was doing community theater at the age of 12, small for his age, blond, very cute, I went to all the rehearsals and shows and if I could get away with it, lurked back stage. Same with wrestling. This was 15 years ago.
As usual, what is wrong with the reporting here? Goleta is probably 200 miles+ down the coast from Salinas. Long way to go to molest some boy at a Christmas tree lot.
Did the reporter mean Greenfield? Gonzales? Both of these are right down the road from Salinas and are the only towns of consequence I can remember from Monterey County that start with a ‘G’.
Wait a minute! I think I have it! The reporter must mean Salinas KS.
Do the Girl Scouts allow men to be troop leaders? If not, why not; if so, how are the protecting the girls from predators?
The requirement of two-deep leadership was a part of Youth Protection guidelines long before 2007.
However, a Scout Leader who wants to molest a boy is going to ignore that rule. The two-deep leadership rule only works if the other adult leaders are alert to what is going on and don't let any leader have one-on-one contact with a Scout.
Clearly someone didn’t get the memo: Homosexuals are now welcomed in the Boy Scouts.
The boys are also supposed to receive training which instructs them to never be alone with a single adult leader.
Until I severed my ties with Scouting following their decision to go gay, our Troop showed “It Happened to Me” every year following Round-Up.
I haven’t heard a reasonable explanation from the Left for why you would put a child in a risky situation like this.
I always use the example: you wouldn’t allow your daughters to share the same tent as an adult male. Or allow a male coach to be in the girls locker room. It is silly and no one would think twice. So, why force this on a boy in the Boy Scouts?
Answer: it is all about pushing the Gay agenda and innocent children be damned.
Besides, one on one time with a adult male role model, which the boy might be lacking at home, is a good thing. Why should they even have to worry about it just to accommodate a political agenda? They are innocent kids!

We were just discussing it at the office. The only thing I can figure is that the kid happened to be a scout from the Goleta area that happened to be molested by a Souctmaster from another area?
I know it’s a stretch.
The likely explanation is we have another semi-literate ‘journalist’ botching the reporting again.
