WASHINGTON The Air Force is disappointed in the airman who appeared in a photo that is being circulated of her posing with her tongue in the mouth of the prisoner of war depicted on the iconic black-and-white POW/MIA emblem.
We do not yet have all the details behind the photo, but it certainly is a concern; its a concern any time someone shows disrespect for prisoners of war and those missing in action, Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Cody said in a statement. They deserve our utmost respect and we must always remember their sacrifice and the legacy theyve left for us as men and women serving our nation.

Any idea why my comment w/ photo was removed? Stars & stripes isn’t on the copyright list.
Really? Mod pulled my comment too because of the pic resolution? What Stars & Stripes idiot put up a 46k image on a website without resizing it? Whooda thunk to check that little 229x300 pic?
I guess I’ll just have to watch the res; too tired to bother resizing/uploading now and I can’t find the words to rewrite my comment...
I am corrected, thanks.
I think one of the other posters wanted only one pic up and posted theirs around the time you posted yours -- maybe the mod got overzealous?
That’s just a silly comment there apparently is information posted that this photo is 3 years old and the woman has stated she was young and dumb.
There are plenty of things I’d fight for I hardly think my reaction to that stupid photo needs to top the list.

I consider you a pompous jerk.
Even? Fine, now go have a nice life.
Cyrus is on a path that redemption will be difficult, if not impossible.
I think maybe this is not such a big deal but obviously not many people on this thread agree. She should get a stern reprimand but I feel those calling for her head are overreacting.
Interesting.
