The goal is to keep Cornyn under 50, but I’m getting a little hesitant about Stockman, who would likely win the chance to face Cornyn in a runoff by default as his name is likely to attract more support from general anti-Cornyn voters. I know Texas is not as competitive for Democrats as Indiana was, and an Akin-esque implosion is unlikely, but Stockman is known for bombastic bomb throwing, and has no statewide campaign at all. I really really hope we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot with this one.

Who are the Democrats running?

The Democrats won't win this seat, no matter what.

I kinda liked Stockman—but the more I hear, I’m not so sure about him.

Is there a truly conservative or tea party candidate among the lot of them?

No need to worry about dem Senate candidate, unless Stockman were to win a runoff and he kept up his secret “silent running” nutty campaigning style.

Stovall can do it, but he needs to get the word out. Getting FNC to bring him up is good publicity.
