I’m not so much worried about that because its a runoff. All votes not for Cornyn are a net positive. I just wish we had done better here. Cornyn low approvals were a real opportunity and I’m not impressed with what we’ve fielded. Stovall has not gotten national groups on board like other candidate in other states, and Stockman (who could have been a solid favorite had he got in earlier and actually campaigned) has just slept through the entire thing. If that was his plan, he should have stayed in the House.
Like I say, if Cornyn is toppled, it will be our doing.
Whoever takes Cornyn to a run-off will get lots of money and endorsements, and their name recognition will go way up.

FYI to Freepers in Kaufman County:
Early voting will ONLY use the electronic machines. You will NOT have choice of paper or electronic during early voting.
On Primary Day, March 4th, ONLY PAPER ballots will be used. If you can, please vote on March 4th - paper ballots leave a paper trail!
Say thank you to our GOPe Republicans.
Yes—the goal is to definitely get rid of Cornyn It would be nice for a change to have a candidate with fire in his belly.
No need to worry about dem Senate candidate, unless Stockman were to win a runoff and he kept up his secret “silent running” nutty campaigning style.
Stovall can do it, but he needs to get the word out. Getting FNC to bring him up is good publicity.
Stovall is running away with the straw poll vote at the Lone Star Tea Party website:
Dwayne Stovall
Dwayne Stovall
He has grassroots support and wins the straw polls because they know his name so how can his Name ID be terrible? That makes no sense. Various Tea Party groups have endorsed him - why do you think that is?
Stovall for Texas US Senator.
Thanks for the ping!
and herein lies the problem. Folks in Texas are flat damn fedup with these politicians.
I pray Cornyn is unseated. This would send another huge message to the republican establishment.
Turn back to core conservative values or get the hell outta the way.
>>Stockman camp was MIA<<
This is what troubles me about the Stockman camp...absent. I’ve not heard one ad on the radio or T.V..
??
Both Stockman and Stoval have beliefs that I can get behind, but Stockman worries me. Not only does he have the personal baggage, but it really REALLY bothers me that he doesn’t even seem to be trying. It’s like he doesn’t even care. You can’t win a campaign by sending a few tweets now and then.
Another thing about Stockman, albeit anecdotal. I was at an event — social, not political — last October and Stockman was there. I only saw him for a minute or so when someone introduced him to the crowd and he was acting just plain goofy. I know everyone deserves to let their hair down a bit, but he came across as an aged frat boy that had yet to grow up. He seemed like he was already lit up and then did a shot for the crowd. I have nothing against responsible drinking, I was drinking myself, but he just didn’t come across right. He’s probably a hoot to hang out with but there’s just something in my gut that can’t let me support him for US Senate.
Stovall all the way. No question.
The following is some info on Stockman. Realize that it is written in the
very negative so take it with a grain of salt. Stockman like all of us has
faults. The question is are they game changers?

I doubt he has any money or very little at best according to the last FEC
filing that was mentioned. I doubt he’s in any position to borrow money
based upon his stiffing suppliers, etc. back in his 1994 campaign.
I am voting Stovall. I have met and talked with him several times and the man is sharp as a tack when it comes to the consitution and the Founding Fathers.
Stovall all the way. Stockman is too quirky and I fear an “Aiken moment.’
Stovall got only 1/3 of the vote in a two-candidate race for District 18 state House race in May 2012. He is leaping for the stars; maybe he can succeed.
The problem is finding a 7-11 in Texas and having both Cruz and Stovall there in line waiting to pay for that wonderful brain freeze...
;-)
The bigger problem is that Stockman will be the guy behind the counter...
The analogy is mindboggling...hehehe
Every time I hear those lying bastages advertisements from the Cornyn campaign I wanna hurl chunks...
But I realize Cornyn is not worth the vomit I would spew...
The sad part about all of this is that if D.C. can eventually corrupt and destroy a person like Cornyn, who did start out strong and did exactly what he says he is doing now in those ads...
It can happen to ANYONE we send up there...
Just my opinion...
There is only one way we will find out. VOTE STOVALL.
