Idiocy on the author’s part besides, there was no reason to do what Dunn did. There’s no evidence that those kids were threatening him, because they all stayed in the vehicle.
Dunn deserves a sentence that ensures that he never leaves prison.

Before stand-your-ground laws, if one idiot was aggressive, the person might back off and go away. Now if one idiot is aggressive the now thinks he has a perfect right to use deadly force instead of backing off. The gun killing rate is 2 1/2 times in states that now have these new SYG laws.
Having once come close to rooming next to Dunne for pretty much the same thing, I have only one thing to say, as my old dad used to say ‘Don’t let your alligator mouth get your hummingbird ass in trouble.’. Either this thug never got the memo or chose to ignore it and got what he was asking for.
