How much of a liberal cheerleader is MSNBC's Ed Schultz? On Monday's Ed Show, the host was asked this question by a viewer: "Who is your favorite President?" Rather than answer with liberal heroes like Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson or John F. Kennedy, Schultz immediately responded, "President Obama." [See video below. MP3 audio here.]
The cable anchor enthused, "I respect him immensely for what he has done with the economy, which I think absolutely is amazing." Schultz insisted, "He's been obstructed more than any other president in American history."
Better Than Liberal FDR or LBJ? You'll Never Ed Schultz's Favorite President
More than any other president in history? Abraham Lincoln certainly faced some obstruction during his presidency.
Schultz extolled, "He could have turned his back on the automobile industry in the country, but he stood with the workers. I could go on and on why I like this guy."
On February 10, the host morphed Lincoln into Obama. Perhaps Schultz meant that as a compliment to the 16th president and not the other way around.
During the answer, the liberal journalist tried to temper the straight forward question by adding, "in my lifetime, he is my favorite president." Even with that added qualification, Presidents Kennedy and Johnson would still be excluded.
5:32ED SCHULTZ: Ask Ed Live. Our first question comes from Aria. She wants to know "who is your favorite president?" President Obama. In my lifetime, he is my favorite president. I respect him immensely for what he has done with the economy, which I think absolutely is amazing. He's been obstructed more than any other president in American history. He brought us health care. He could have turned his back on the automobile industry in this country, but he stood with the workers. I could go on and on why I like this guy. And also, outside of not having an interview with me, that doesn't matter. When my wife had cancer, he wrote a personal note to Wendy. That goes a long way.
Proof that liberalism is a mental disorder.
Yes I read in some of the recent merger stories that Brian Roberts the CEO of Comcast (NBC/MSNBC/Weather Channel, etc) is one of Baraq’s closest business allies.
Suck ass.
You really pissed me off. I don't tell you what you can do or not do
Buy whatever you want. Don’t complain about the product then.
That was supposed to be it is my business if I watch TV or not
“Words fail me”
NOT me, but I do wish to remain a participant at FREE REPUBLIC, so I say nothing.
He's F****ing Stupid
I would rank Washington as the best President and Obama as the worst, and William Henry Harrison as the one who did the least harm.
Stopped paying for TV 2-3 years ago. Best $100+ saved. All I need to see is on news web sites and entertainment on a less than $9.00/mo subscription. My dollars do not go to MSNBC, CNN or FOX cable.
I am surprised they understood what he said, considering BO’s Johnson was firmly implanted in his mouth.
More than Andrew Johnson?
I consider Buchanan to be the worst, followed by Wilson. I won't rate Obama until he leaves office--just in case he has a "road to Damascus" experience.
If liberals don't like something, they don't want anyone to have it. Conservatives like myself for example, if they don't like something, they just don't get it.
Alcoholism causes brain damage.
He sees Nothing, hears Nothing, KNOWs Nothing...
Buchanan pretty much followed the Constitution, even when his constitutionally-limited waffling was the worst of all possible courses. As destructive as Wilson and FDR were at their worst, both gave significant deference to the Constitution and the rule of law except in the narrow areas where they felt that they had specific reasons to do otherwise. Obama systematically ignores the Constitution, which will do untold harm for generations in addition to the direct harm that his big government socialism is inflicting today.
I guess if someone mistakes this narrow, subsidized stock market for the real economy, ignoring the downward spiral of real income suffered by most Americans since 2008, it is possible to think that crashing noise is an economic boom.
Is he black?
