WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — In June a White House adviser said “a war on coal is exactly what’s needed” to combat climate change. Now, the Obama administration is taking another step in waging that war, pressing ahead with tough requirements for new coal-fired power plants, moving to impose for the first time strict limits on the pollution blamed for global warming.
Pretty sad that all the ancestory/history that dwells there has been cast aside and forgotten.
I was 5 years behind you. So were all 3 of my brothers and almost everyone I grew up with in my neighborhood. We all moved out except one friend who owns his own landscaping business. The unions killed the steel mills and auto parts business first. Now they are killing all the medium sized manufactures. The only ones left are the old people like my 85 year old mother.
It is too bad for some of these workers, but many of them liked getting the union benefits and brought it on themselves. Many of them are no different than the overpaid lazy bums that worked for Bethlehem Steel back in the 1970’s.
Not at all hard to understand. The UMW represents Remington.
The United Auto Workers represents Colt or Winchester.
However, Little Andy should be given credit for creating jobs...IN ALABAMA! LOL! Way to go Andy. You da man!
I left Orchard Park after graduating from SUNY Syracuse in 1985 and only go back to visit mom once a year or so. WNY is a depressing place to visit.

I think it was this poster who said she hated guns. I think I read a statistic which said hands and hammers kill more people than guns so why are they picking on guns?

Yeah, but we lost ours in that boating accident.
